Good location, great spacious room, excellent NZ flax oil toiletries, friendly staff
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel, a good base to explore Auckland - its a few steps away from the Sky Tower. Room was excellent standard with everything you would expect from the Rydges chain - bath robes, slippers, excellent toiletries. overall very good - no complaints. Staff were friendly and let us know about a special offer they had with a local taxi firm for a good discount on fares to the airport. Great value for money.

Close to Skytower and the CBD
Billed for minibar that i didnt use and i am yet to receive a response or my money back and the reception is on the first floor which could be quite confusing for new arrivals
The hotel is well located near the Skycity Tower and Casino. The location is quite good, quiet and non threathening. The room was clean and quite spacious. There is a lounging chair and a desk to work on if you so wish. I had a corner room which meant i had large windows and plenty of natural light coming into the room, the unfortunate aspect was i was on the 5th floor, so the view was much. Due to a late flight flight, I asked if late check out was available and I was informed i could stay in the room until midday. I did have some problems with my keycard not working and then getting billed for minibar which did not use. The hotel has been extremely slow in getting back to me regarding this and I am yet to receive my money back.

The hotel location is fantastic, closed by to the centre and Sky City so it allow us to be able to spend time out until late night. The room is clean and the hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. But the valet parking is quite expensive NZ$28 which the public parking is a lot cheaper NZ$9 for weekend flat rate on the building at another corner. On road side parking is allowed from evening until 8 o’clock next day.
Shopping Tip : Some of the shops are closed on Sunday but DFS Duty Free is open 7 days a week from 10.00 a.m. - 10 p.m.
