good option on a budget

we were only in town for 17 hours so we didn't spend too much time in the hostel but here were the highlights.
-$50NZD key deposit at check in ($54 for credit or debit)
-rooms and bathrooms were reasonably clean (fiance wasn't offended either)
-staff was friendly
-easy 10 minute walk to downtown area
-after 10pm you have to walk up a flight of stairs and down two more flights to get to the downstairs room (really anoying if you are carrying bags)
-front desk isn't open over night, so be sure you check in early enough.
-large kitchen which we didn't have a chance to use.
