nice clean modern hotel , with a very strategic location n entertainment.good service . good deal. nice hotel in town with a great great deal . the room was quite big with modern style. i love the loby..looks so georgeus..with a warm wellcome from them...emmm make my day so lovely :) service was very good.even when we get there it was raining...but all the entertainment we can have it just accros the hotel..casino,starbuck,restaurant , and even the skyjump.u should try it to make ur holidays more adventure.
so next time i come , i definetly will choose Skycity Grand Hotel
and refer to my freinds too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : try the skyjump or skywalk....nice :) alot alot of restaurant n store just behind the hotel.explore it and u will amaze..all are there

Ordinary looking rooms with old CRT TV sets and no free internet. My one day stay at Sky City Grand Hotel was nice and pleasant as the hotel was located in the city center very close to a number of interesting place. I chose the hotel since it was listed in the agoda website which offered good hotel rates for a five star hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Eat breakfast at Vulcan land near the hotel

Location, High standard of comfort, lots of amenities, East Day Spa Mould in shower, lack of service late at night I stayed at the Sky City Grande from the 13th to 15th Feb for my Wedding. I decided to book there because of the location and I wanted somewhere extra special for the occasion. I booked an Executive suite for the extra room and had arranged an extra roll away bed for my Mum who was staying with me the night before the wedding which was then to be taken away the next day for when it was myself and my Husband staying.
On check in there were plenty of staff around to help but when I arrived back at the hotel after the wedding late at night there was only one staff member on reception and lots of waiting guests
The room itself was very comfortable with all the amenities needed should you want to stay a night or even a week. The bathroom was large with a separate shower and toilet. The shower nice and powerful but did have some mold issues which I wouldn't expect of a five star property.
Overall it was a pleasant experience but there are a few issues which need looking at if it wants to compete as one of Auckland's Premier Hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I had a massage at the East Day Spa located in the hotel and it was AMAZING!

Good location, modern hotel, bathroom amenities. No wireless Internet in room. Lack of dining options in hotel itself. The Skycity Grand Hotel Auckland is a very modern hotel and is linked to the Auckland Convention centre which makes it a great for business travellers. The hotel is across the street from the Sky Tower where there is a large casino and some more dining options. Unfortunately nobody informed me at check in that the outlets are all part of the hotel and I can actually sign meals to my rooms. The hotel is within walking distance of the shopping are and a short drive (long walk) to the Via Duck marina and Ferry terminals. The room was very modern and I was particularly impressed with bathroom amenities. I will most definitely consider it for a return stay.
Restaurant Tip : In case nobody tell you, you can actually sign for meals to your room account at any of the dinning options at Sky Tower. Try the Furtuna Buffet, it is great value.

Was most conveniently takes less effort to carry a heavy pack and leave out because coach Rotorua from Sky City.
