great value for money
nice rooms comfortable beds perfect when attending convention centre

My girlfirend and I were attending a ball at the convention centre and was excellent no stress way to attend. Two big queen size beds. Our shower did spray water all over the floor but I guess unless someone tells them they dont know. Great selection for breakfast including squid would you believe.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There appeared to be some rooms that had outside balconies with table and chairs not quite sure what they cost but would be good for smokers.

Good price for room, no complaints this time except the sky channels have 4 sport channels and 1 movie channel.
Restaurant Tip:
Some excellent little restaurants nearby in Victoria street, we can recommend the Turkish restaurant and the Mexican, both were very busy even mid week but it doesn't take long to get a table if there are only two people.

Absolutely great service, lovely clean room
Loved that the location is central to all means of shopping, public transport and food facilities.

Room was clean, and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and willing to help. Living in Australia, the customer service comparison was amazing. Staff looked as though they actually wanted to be at work. Was a great change to what we are used to. Will definately be coming back.

we stay there about 2 times a year. we love this hotel. can't wait until next time. my daughter had her 21st dinner at the fortuna restaurant. then we went and played carribean stud poka. came away on top after a couple of hours. would highly recommend.
Restaurant Tip:
Good for young and old alike. Lovely food and plenty at the buffet. Breakfast was amazing.

Our recent stay 23/6/2012
My wife and I do not stay away from home all that often and when we do travel we normally stay with friends or family
Our check in experience was Ok but when told there was a $500.00 deposit required because my Visa card is a debt card not a true credit card knocked me a bit.
We were allocated H1 room 140. The room was well laid out with the necessities comfortable beds etc. It did lack conventional light switches which had us confused for some time. I located the switch for the lamp at the far end of the room so that was a success. The main lights had me well and truly bet for a good fifteen minutes. I did finally figure out that the electronic key card was the main “light switch card” as well. We also had a problem locating the switches for the lamps over the beds. These we found Sunday morning. They had been hidden behind the pillows.
( Perhaps a bit more information and communication from your front desk staff could help alleviate this for non seasoned travellers)
Another little grip is the amount sugar left in the room. Yes some people can get away with one or two teaspoons of sugar per cup of tea or coffee but some also like three or four tea spoons of sugar
I also noticed with some disgust the bathroom was NOT up to scratch. The glass shower panel was covered in soap scum, the toilet seat looked like the outer covering was peeling off and the toilet roll holder didn't look like it had been wiped for weeks. YUCK.
I appreciate that the room we had was at the lower end of rates scale but surely the bathroom should be clean
