Stayed for weekend to watch NZ-Aus rugby. Hotel is in relatively quiet location close to the marina and walking distance to the Viaduct area of restaurants and bars. Room was clean and reasonable size with nice walk in shower. Breakfast was ok but selection a little limited given the price
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A 10- minute walk through Viaduct area to the train station and then a 20min train ride direct to Eden park for rugby

Great location, good breakfast, wonderful room.

Being a business traveler, my needs are not complex: friendly staff, nice room, WiFi connection, large bed and a well-equipped bathroom. All were met quite adequately.
Travel tip:
Hotel is very close to waterfront restaurants, of which several specialize in seafood.

Great Room, pity about the lack of services

The Superior room, Atrium View was very spacious and had all the amenities you would expect for a modern 5 star hotel. The downside was the lack of services. No restaurant, no bar, no room service etc. I arrived late in the evening and had to go out for a meal. Room service would have been handy.
I understand the hotel is under new management and they were working to have everything back to normal by Christmas. Not much help right now though. It would have been nice to now this at time of booking.
The staff were polite and very helpful.
Great styling in this hotel and the location is excellent. The valet parking was 35.00, which is so, so. There is no self parking option.
Given all the above, I had a pretty good stay. The lower price compensated for the lack of services.

Dont stay here

"Free Wifi" was only in the lobby and it was so slow I couldn't even check my email! To their credit the staff tried hard to make up for the obvious lacking of this facility. For management to keep this place open during these times, and not warn potential customers, is a complete disgrace. On principal I will never stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Not cheap but worth every dollar!

港に面し、繁華街へも徒歩10分圏内。天気が良ければ散歩がてら買い物等へも最適です。建物、部屋、アメニティ等、高クオリティで、新婚旅行などにはいいかもしれません。繁華街へ10分といってもその10分は何もなく、ホテルのまわりにもなにもありません。また、電源プラグの変換プラグを借りようとしましたが出払っているという事で、探してみる、という事でしたが、他の安いホテルと同様、見つからないといった連絡も結局来なくて、高い宿泊費、凝った建物・部屋と人のサービスはリンクしないと思いました。
