Check-in/out, large room, comfy bed, good food 7.3 I use hotels a lot for my business travel and The Surrey was good value for money. What I look for is to be able to check in/out quickly; a nice, large, clean room; a comfy bed; internet access and a decent option for eating/drinking. I found all of these at the The Surrey. It's outside the CBD so location isn't as good as some others but thats an observation, not a criticism...

Booked a deluxe room as the hotel mentioned it was pet friendly only to discover that the deluxe room would not allow pets, was given option to leave pet in car and stay in that room or downgrade to normal room with no refund in price. Explained that the website mentioned pets allowed and did not say only certain rooms. Would have been happy to change rooms if i was refunded the difference but was simply told tuff luck. Bad service, was told it was my mistake for not asking. Despite putting the request in the initial booking. If you expect good customer service I would not recommend this hotel!
