Second stay at this hotel. Room size sufficient, comfortable but bathroom in need of modernisation. Very nice meal in hotel restaurant.Room balcony and windows needed cleaning.

Thick drapes that keep the daylight out whi h is especially good for sleeping when arriving from another time zone.

Hotel Feature Tip:
Pool out of action due to earthquake damage - which is a shame because it's one of the few "resort" hotels in Christchurch.

Lovely hotel that still makes you feel cared for and catered to despite ongoing repairs post earthquake.I really enjoyed having my family to breakfast,the service was good and the french toast fab.

Peacefull and quiet with unique architecture

Our room was spotlessly clean with all the little extras that count from toothbrush and bath salts to biscuits and being able to open the windows for fresh air was a bonus. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Garden restaurant for the food and service and the extra touch of fresh flowers on our table.

This hotel is in a great location, near Riccarton and Hagley Park. The staff are very helpful and the service is very good.The Chateaux feels neither French or Kiwi-you could be anywhere in the world really when staying here. The spa faciities are currently in repair, so no pampering onsite. The public spaces are lacking in lively decor and provide little opulence. A cosy stay.

lovely hotel and free wifi
location just opposite the park was wonderful; restaurant cuisine was excellent!

a perfect last two nights for out nz vacation. beautiful hotel, friendly service, great food.

the only thing that threw us was finding the hotel. it isn't actually on deans avenue; it's on kilmarnock street. we had to call them to find that out. and we did love the free wifi, especially since no other hotel in nz that we stayed in provided wifi at reasonable rates, even if not free.
