Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Good location, excellent restaurants. Common areas of the hotel very attractive.
Poor rooms need updating, poor bathroom with cheap plastic loo seat, inadequate shower/bath and discoloured grout. No attempt to describe facilities at the hotel.
Our room at the George was a bit of a disappointment having just come from the Observatory in Sydney. Feeling of a 1970's Travel Lodge with beechwood and formica furniture and very dated bathroom with no working extractor and a shower over the bath with a rather tired shower curtain and dirty grout. (On reporting the problem, Reception said it worked very quietly). However all the bells and whistles are provided with a good selection of tea and coffee, hairdryer, ironing board, kettle, toaster and smellies etc. The bed is not a superking but still very comfortable. Have eaten in both restaurants and had an outstanding and fun meal in their flagship Pescatore which we rated highly. Young and friendly staff who were happy to store bags for us whilst we visited Queenstown. I felt let down with the quality of the room as we paid a similar amount for our suite at the Observatory.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Christchurch Arts centre serve great coffee.
