Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Grand Chancellor Hotel Christchurch Info
The affordable, better than expected luxury of the Grand Chancellor name is evident in yet another of their locations. The hotel is very conveniently located, which seems to be a trademark of the Grand Chancellor brand. Grand Chancellor is surrounded by the city's major attractions: Cathedral Square, Christchurch Casino and the Avon River. Easily get your bearings on the city by jumping on the Christchurch tramway, where the conductors will give a guided tour of the city and it is located literally right outside the door of the hotel. Guests at the hotel can enjoy access to the Les Mills City Gym. Enjoy authentic local meals at the Merchant's Restaurant, and for a quick drink the Exchange Bar is next door. To experience Christchurch without wasting time on traveling Drand Chancellor should definitely be considered.

Central location, great parking nxt door, clean and nice rooms, fantastic staff
I didn't see any, other than the bar was closed but it was late on a Monday night.
I stayed at the Grand Chancellor for business, it was an excellent hotel and loved every minute of it. Staff super friendly, professional and relaxed at the same time. They went out of their way to help with everything. Rooms a great size and being on the 23 floor meant we got a very nice view as well. A++++

Location, helpful staff, clean and tidy, quiet room. Discount dining voucher on arrival.
We stayed here on two occasions and both rooms had a squeaky front door which didn't bother us but may have bothered the next door neighbour.
Excellent location near Cathedral Square and also the bus and tram terminals. We had a top floor room with magnificant view of Christchurch. There was a guest laundry which was very convenient. The staff were extremely helpful. There was a complementary shuttle bus to take us to the station to board the Scenic Alpine Train to Greymouth.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : At the Christchurch cathedral, you can walk up the bell tower and see the bells and view the city. If you are looking for souvenirs, across the road from the catherdral, are several shops which offer great value and variety.

Great location. Close to Cathederal square and cafes. Has a coin operated guest laundry. Great rate via Agoda.
All the doors to each hotel room squeek which could be annoying on entering and leaving.
We stayed here twice in only a few days apart while holidaying in New Zealand as we flew in and out of Christchurch. We had great views from the room as both times we were given a top floor room. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel was ideal for wandering around the city as it is in an ideal location. The rooms were clean and tidy.
Shopping Tip : Ther are some great unique shops and cafes around the city within walking distance simply by following the tram route.
