This hotel is located in the heart of the city, not too near that no walking is involved in the exploration of the city and not too far so that the city sites are not within waking distance. A very good location for a hotel

Hotel Grand Chancellor Christchurch. From the time of my arrival the service was friendly and efficient. Right from the check in desk to the concierge ( house porter ), the reception was very good. My booking was a last minute reservation and the room exceeded my expectations, two double beds, air conditioned, nice views over the city, cable TV, daily serviced rooms. The standard again was very good.

Service, very competant and well trained .

The Grand Chanchelor is centrally located and only a short walk away from the shopping ares and business areas. There are several restaurants located within a short walk from the hotel. Should you please to travel over land the main bus station is only about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is ideally suited for business travellers and offers large meeting and conference facilities. I have no problem in recommending the hotel to anybody and will myself stay there again if I happen to be in Christchurch.

The hotel is fairly centrally located and within walking distance of the shopping area. Very spacious rooms.

I felt that the room and room amenities were a little on the old side.
