This is a lovely well-established building with a warm welcome despite a rather small and cramped reception area. The eating area is part of a the 'pub' area that has all the charm and elegance of an old English pub! The food was very good, if not exceptional, and served quickly and
efficiently - the choices were wide ranging. The room had plenty of space and was very well furnished, well-decorated, cosy and comfortable. The pillows were the weakest area - rather cheap and lumpy I thought! The bathroom had a spa and was amply equipped. The water was both hot and had good pressure. Overall very comfortable indeed. The room was well equipped with phone and fax machine (for those who need to use them!). The proximity to Nelson Airport was not at all disruptable!
Lovely elegant and well-established building; well maintained and well-furnished room; good food.
Breakfast not part of the overnight price. The 'Reception' area was a little cramped and 'uninviting'! The pillows were not really up to scratch!
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The 'WOW' (Museum of Wearable Art) museum/exhibition was outstanding within a 5-minute drive from the Hotel.
