Convenient and great value

I was looking for a hotel that was within walking distance to the town centre, and this hotel was it: It was a stone's throw from the gardens, steamship ferry and gondola. I know that you have to walk up a hill to some hotels, but not this one. It's flat walking distance to town. It was also a hotel of great value: big twin double beds and a modern bathroom. The TV, however, could be of slightly better quality, but I shouldn't complain as more time should be spent outdoors in Queenstown.

Nice stay, no issues would stay again, has central location is near the lake and is quiet at night, was for us anyway. Staff all pleasant and very easy to get around town from the hotel would stay again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Park at will sons car park which is in the next street if your parked before 10am it's five dollars till 6pm rather than the hotel car park which is 20 dollars a day. Would stay here again and recommend to friends and family, an enjoyable stay and near the lake front.

novotel queenstown was a lovely surprise. it is located on the lake which features a beautiful walking path and promenade. the views are wonderful. great shopping and restaurants are nearby. you can even walk to the skyline gondola. the hotel has a hot tub, but you must book in advance.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Highly recommend Milford Sound. Also loved Wine Tastes in the center of town! Visit an Ice Bar!

valet parking only and no exercise facilities a negative but overall would stay again
Travel tip:
can use Novotel's sister hotel just a short drive away for their exercise facility for no charge; Bombay India very good and Winnie's pizza - the latter v. loud and busy on weekends however
