Shotover Lodge blends a natural location of mountain and river with an exclusive air of tranquility. With only three suites, this hotel books out quickly. A stay here will give guests a true piece of New Zealand, as its owners add to the charm of a stay here. This lodge is situated on a cliff and, as such, the panoramic view is stunning. Located not far from Queenstown and Arrowtown, guests will have no trouble accessing diners, bars, and spa facilities. Their spacious lounge is equipped with gas fireplace and TV. Each suite is elegantly furnished and features beautiful decor. Guests will also have access to a shared kitchenette as well as laundry service. The food at this lodge is delicious as is the wine that is offered with it. In addition, many activities can be easily performed, from white water rafting to horse riding, both of which add a richness to a visit here.

Couples New Zealand, February 24, 2013	perfect quiet location value for money clean rooms 9.7 Only a short drive from Queenstown this property is truely stunning .The views are spectacular and the rooms are very clean . The receptionist was very accomodating to our needs. The beds are comfortable and the property is great value for money .A truely worthwhile experience. Restaurant Tip: There is a great resturant over the road called Gantleys. In my mind its the best resturant in New Zealand . The degustation menu was fantasic. Its A 6 course menu with wines to match each course. Rack of lamb was superb. The desert was large and delicious full of chocolate

Couples Australia, December 03, 2012	Bright and airy atmosphere, but you need a car The communal kitchen and common room and other pracical communites 9.3 This very well-designed modern lodge in a rural setting has everything to make a short or long-term stay perfect.Our twin room had a kitchenette and a sun-drenched balcony with table and chairs. If you seek company there is a fantastic communal kitchen and common room. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: There is an award-winning restaurant very close by, and the lodge is on the road to Arrowtown, an ex gold-mining town.
