Heidi G. Couples New Zealand, May 06, 2013	Disappointing, cost not proportional to experience decor, spa and proximity to town 6.7 Standard of room not in line with cost. Clock no battery, reading lamps too dim to read by, no view, no balcony . Automatic type greeting of "Welcome to the Princess Gate hotel" without feeling. Hunt for towels in spa area which was flooded and not clean at the time...did get cleaned next day. Walk through dining room in bath robe to access spa....gentleman who showed us felt the other way was too round-a-bout to bother showing us. His air was one of resignation not one of willingness. Owner did promptly respond to feedback with a few things to say eg. that the broken wicker chairs and other refurbishments being under taken and to visit again in the future. If the experience was not optimal, as the owner of a business, there is the option to compensate for that shortcoming in some way. Not in this case....as yet....here is to optimism!
