We chose the place for the outdoor soak pool and it was pretty nice. Nice managers, clean and modern fit out. All in all 'pretty good'.

A lovely home away from home!
Very cosy, fantastic hosts and awesome thermal pool!

This was our first 2 nights in New Zealand and the bar was definitely raised! We were greeted by very lovely and charismatic hosts who gave a great overview of Rotorua with tips of what to do and what to see. The lodge is very cosy and perfect for resting, the very good variety of TV channels are an added bonus. Thermal pool was very relaxing and a good touch. Overall, very happy campers we were!

Flamingo studio - tiny room
the outdoor thermal spa pool was good.

I must say the owners were very nice and helpful. I can't comment on the other rooms but thee Flamingo studio was tiny. With 2 people in the room we were constantly getting in each others way doing the simplest of things like getting dressed and taking a shower. Not recommended.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Not the Flamingo studio unless you like to live in each others pocket.

The location is good, many lodges around here. convinient for shopping. A little far away from lake by walk. We cooked by ourselves for dinner, nice experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

overall the service is very nice. our original booking was 2 adults but the hotel quested addtional charge when it found we brouht a child although we didn't ask for addtional bed. overall i would rate it as 4 star.

The room was nothing fancy but it was clean and sufficient. One thing that made a nice impression way the small pitcher of milk the owner placed in the fridge for us. Not a plastic container but real milk for coffee.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rotorua is not a large town so any location is as good as the next. You will need a car unless you just want to stay in town. The hotel is within walking distance to town and to the hot springs.
