Great room Great location
Waliking distance to restuarants, very close to lake, king size bed, friendly staff at checkin and out

Room is older style, full kitchen facilities, sadly very small shower with a curtain which kept sticking to you, other than that great hotel to be in, could use some air conditioning as was hot. Would definitely return. Great location, great motel.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to the Mousetrap it was the best meal I have had in a long time, the waiter we had was excellent.

Good location & staff but that's all that was good
Spacious, close to lake and town, friendly staff on arrival - even put heater on for us

hot water ran out after 15 minutes - was not good for two people getting ready for a wedding!
no sound proofing, we heard everyone's conversations in each room next to us, tele's, radios ... the lot!
bed was two small beds put together so you have a sore ridge between you!
shower handle was snapped off and had sharp ridges where the plastic had snapped off so you cut yourself each time you turned shower on and off!
cleaners bang on the door at 9:30 am and if your not out by then you don't get your room cleaned!
really disappointed, i would not come back unfortunately.

very nice and clean place ,good for the price but the internet quota make internet connection are uncomfortable
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
in taupo are the best place to stay before go to Whakapapa ski village
