Clean, recently renovated, nice interior design, good food in restaurant.

Room was quite small, didn't change our wet towels for couple of days.

The Ibis is a great hotel; my parents live out of town and they and their friends always stay here when they come in. We had 3 nights and it was exactly as they described: no frills, but clean and pleasant. Good strong shower, firm bed, cable TV.... what more do you need?! It's also in quite a handy part of town, close to lots of the more 'upmarket' clothes shops and only a block from the waterfront. It's an easy walk along the wharf to all the bars and nightlife of Courtney Place. We spent quite a while checking out other places in Wellington, and I think this really is the best value that we found.

Restaurant Tip : Wellington is famous for its excellent cafes so go and explore! The Lido, Floriditas, Fidels, Vista round in Oriental Bay... the options are endless. Maranui Surf Club is an excellent cafe round in Lyall Bay that will be re-opening in April so go for a cruise around the Bays.

This hotel is well-placed in the city, and within walking distance of most attractions.

Undergoing refurbishment. Parking is an issue unless a space is reserved at the time of booking.

We were pleased with the location, which was convenient for shops, restaurants and attractions. Our room was modern and comfortable, but very noisy; we could almost join in the conversation with the occupants of the neighbouring room (we were on the 8th floor). Parking places are limited and have to be pre-booked. Since we had not done this we had to pay to park nearby.

We were given a freshly renovated room, as soon as the ironing board was sent to us, it was FRESH! The room smelled fresh. The beds as usual was soft. The location was good too. 5mins walk to the shopping malls. And there's a fabulous Malaysian food joint just across the street.

The street is awake only until 6pm. Maybe becuase it's the business district plus it's winter time.

The room was really fresh with the smell ofnew furniture, new carpet, new cabinets. The only problem was the floor below us was under renovation, so at 7.45am the next day, we were woken up by the drilling. This is so unusual cos in Singapore, renovation starts only at 8.30am. But given the fact that we were assigned a freshly renovated room, there's nothing more i could ask for. The fridge cabinet though, was rattling thru the nite as we slept. But again, it's a fresh room & given the flu-season, i thank god they gave us a room, that no one stayed in for the past 3 days :-)

Restaurant Tip : The Malaysian Restuarant called THE LONG BAR. I'm a Singaporean, but this Malaysian Restaurant brought back my foodie memories. Try the Char Koay Teow & Curry Chicken & Appitizer platter with Satay, Fish Cake, Fried Wonton & Pandan Chicken. Alamak! This is fabulously SEDAP lah! (translate: Oh my gosh! This is fabulously delicious you know!)

good location to city and ferry terminal

room slightly smaller than would have been ideal for two adults in twin beds

friendly, efficient service, even though I arrived well after midnight. Staff also happy to store excess luggage while we made a short trip to the South Island. Room and bathroom were clean and had adequate facilities, considering the price range. Being downtown, taxis were available immediately outside, even for an early morning departure.

Room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and everything you required was there.

Didnt like the high seats for eating its not very comfortable for eating and having a drink. Not much room for sitting as its very small in the foyer.

Our stay in the Ibis Hotel Wellington was a very pleasant experience. Its central location suited our needs as we wanted to do some sight seeing in our first trip to Wellington. We found our room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Our one moan would be it was a bit noisy from the steet early in the morning, which double glazing would have cut out.

Large bedroom, everything very clean, restaurant and bar good, excellent location.

No dressing table type unit with a mirror other than bathroom. No unit with drawers only hanging space and limited shelf space, obvious not a female friendly environment.

I would stay at Hotel Ibis again if in Wellington, or any of the other hotels in this chain because of location, cleanliness, helpful staff and price. For tourists many attractions are situated within walking distance and if not the very helpful staff gave information about public transport to and from locations. I stayed for three days and found it was always the same soup and roast which could have been changed daily to add a bit of variety but the buffet breakfast was very good. Wine selections very good.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Visit to Karori Wildlife Sanctuary well worth while as well as Te Papa museum

Pleasant and clean impression when walk in to the Lobby. Staff were courteous and helpful. The location was great, walking distance to cable car and city area. Room size was good and very comfortable with 2 queen bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again.

Would definitely stay again. We found the facilities better than at some Ibis hotels in Europe.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Papa Museum is well worth a visit and particularly good for young kids with lots of interactive sites and play areas. Nearby Cuba Street is great for cafes and shopping.

Good car park!

Long walk to town!

the room had great views )hotel is top of the hill!) and was a good size with nice plasma tv. It was a bit shabby in the bathroom and did not feel so clean. You really need a car to get round if you stay here, or be prepared to spend out on taxis!!

Convenient location

In the heart of the city, sightseeing, shopping, and convenience food

2 hours $ 10 Internet connection is the same everywhere, less than other traffic restrictions will be added to require a fee.

Sunday May 4 from 2 nights. Facilities of the hotel is old and is kept clean, shower, and comfortable bed used EMASHITA. In the heart of the city, there are many cafes nearby. Meals, and shopping is enough place. The bus from the airport or a passenger car on the block. There are close to the InterContinental, this hotel would cost performance and higher.

Restaurant Tip : There are many cafes in the neighborhood and around town is a business, a cafe popular with people taking lunch and lunch will be crowded. Night, the shops close around pretty quickly. And shop early.
