On the tail end of Erakor Lagoon and only five minutes drive from the Vanuatu capital, the Vila Chaumieres is a retreat without the seclusion. The premium diving, snorkeling, and kayaking are all here, as well as other additions romantic travelers might enjoy. The first of these being the restaurant, which offers an outdoor bamboo and dark-wood setting looking out over the water with excellent seafood and coconut crab. Now moving on to the bungalows, with air-conditioning, fan, net to keep out the critters, queen sized bed, and a balcony looking out over the water and evening sky they are certainly romantic. And if you do want a break from all of this relaxation and adventure, take a shuttle into the heart of Port Vila just down the road. The shuttles rides are on the house.
