Cable TV and Wi-Fi services are poor. Not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel.

Nice location with value for money
The location is the best choice for this hotel. The breakfast includes variaties of food. The staffs and cleanliness is acceptable. All in all, it is value for the room's budget.

There are better options
The Palace was decent but not worth what we paid in comparison to other options in the area. The pool was out of order for a couple of days and there wasn't anywhere shaded in the outdoor area, so that aspect was a wash. The room smelled strongly of smoke even though it was advertised as non-smoking. The bathroom also had a very strong odor in the mornings from what I suspect is plumping issues. The view from our was okay, but mostly faced the city rather than the ocean. Breakfast only went until 9, which meant we were in a hurry most mornings. Additionally, on our final morning they didn't offer the buffet and only had a very limited menu of options. The staff were friendly enough but they tried to get us to sign for a "lost towel" when we were checking out despite the fact that we never took one outside of the room. They also way overcharged for motorbike rental (approx 15 USD per day). The bike didn't even have gas in it. So, overall not terrible, but really not worth it either.

Location was good but...
The Palace Hotel is in an excellent location but this hotel could do with an upgrade or facelift. This was the start of our 2 weeks in Vietnam and I was happy to move on. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and being underneath the kitchens , the noise started at 4.20am every morning. We will find another hotel with a similar location for our next trip to Ho Chi Minh City
