A hidden gem to base from to see all the sites!

Staff, location, and on-site restaurant.
Excellent! The hotel staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a wide variety of foods but prepares phenomenal khmer cusine! Location is pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap city center, but can be easily accessed. Great hub to see all the local sites!

Quiet retreat with dirt roads

Quiet and cool setting due to the trees. Air con was great and the pool was refreshing
It was nice, room was a little dirty(old soap left and needed a wipe in the bathroom) the tuk tuk don't know where it is and is down a dirt road (wear facemasks) but otherwise was out of city $3 tuk tuk to get to pub street and is great for families and couples was relaxing Staff do forget to do things when asked just need to be reminded and asked for a towel 3 times. All 3 tyres up when only needed one Otherwise was nice

Staying in Villa Bosba, a traditional Khmer house; serene environment.
This was my second stay at Palm Village Resort & Spa. The first time, four years ago, we stayed in one of the regular chalets. This time, being a larger group, we stayed at Villa Bosba, a traditional Khmer house. This is not downtown, but located halfway between downtown and Angkor Wat. The Villa Bosba was much larger than I had anticipated and was great in terms of having space to enjoy being together as well as space to do your own thing. The balcony was HUGE (four comfy papassan chairs and a table at one end and then a low table at the other end), a central room (again with a coffee table and chairs), two bedrooms, kitchen/dining room, and bathroom. AC worked well. WIFI available :) Palm Village Resort & Spa also has massages and, more recently, added yoga in the afternoons a few times a week. They also can arrange tuk-tuks taxis in the area and arranged our tickets for Phnom Penh (USD 15 one way). Food is great - can be served in your room, in the restaurant, or by the pool. They offer traditional Khmer, western and vegetarian options. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Beautiful location

Location, Swimming Pool, Mr Roth the Tuk Tuk driver who took us everywhere
My daughter and I enjoyed a very relaxing 3 night stay at Palm Village. After the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh it was wonderful to be off the beaten track and be surrounded by the sounds of nature, yet still be in a city. Some people complain that the hotel is too far from the city and tuk tuk drivers do not know how to get there. Yes it does require a few lefts and rights down basic tracks off the main road but it is only 10-15 minutes at most to city and the hotel provides drivers who are most charming and accommodating at taking you wherever you want to go. They were also very knowledgable and made our visit even more interesting and enjoyable. We loved seeing more of Siem Reap by not being in the city centre and being greeted by local people every day, rather than people endlessly trying to sell us a souvenir. Very convenient for Angkor Wat and the temples complex. When I return I may consider hiring bicycles to tour the temples, as it is such a good location. Loved the cabins set among beautiful gardens with butterflies everywhere. Everything was very clean, including the pool. Staff most helpful and friendly, even though we all struggled a little with the language barrier. We took advantage of the affordable spa facilities. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a bit of luxury and comfort, with some much needed peace and quiet after a day spent amongst tourists at the temples.

Perfect to enjoy peace and nature

1) small bngalow in Khmer style, with storng personality 2) really into the jungle to enjoy nature 3) peaceful and relaxing
it's a 3 star hotel, so expectation must be set. in this range of offer i think this was great for the location and the service. being far from the main street, not all the tuc-tuc knew where to go, but with a bit of memory and a GPS it's easy to manage

Tranquil slice of heaven

The staff:who bent over backward to make or stay so enjoyable. The peacefulness - the delightful, yummy authentic Khmer food.
It was really a fantastic stay, we will be back again to siem reap and I could not imagine staying anywhere else. It was so peaceful and relaxing - a perfect place to chill after running. Round temples and being In the countryside. The staff went out of Their way to look after us- people talk about the Cambodian generosity of spirit and warmth- it is truley present at plan village!! If you like the security and comfort and familiarity of an international hotel brand- it's not for You- there are plenty of these in town!! If you want to feel the peacefulness of a really great spa resort, have your own bit of space in your own little bungalow, and experience a resort owned by a Cambodian woman present and living there and run by local people this is the place for you!! Needed to remind hotel daily to clean our room

Beautiful garden, rustic feel, nice pool
We stayed in Palm Village Resort for a 4 day stay. Wanted to get away with a little luxury in a quiet setting, and had this place recommended by a friend. We didn't get what we hope for, and left disappointed and would not recommend to others. The place is very rustic and it gives a good feel. We loved the beautiful garden. Our kids really enjoyed the saltwater pool. Unfortunately the place have noisy neighbors and because its a wooden house, its almost like sleeping in a tent. We soon learned that we had to ask them daily to clean our room coming home to a house that looked just as we left if. Needless to say, the 5 min "cleaning", didn't make it clean. During our 4 nights, they didn't change our sheets, and we didn't have replacement of complimentary cups and coffee. We had a rat or mouse in the house, eating from the complimentary noodles, but that didn't seem to cause much concern by management. The menu is simple and nice Khmer food, and neither cheap nor pricy.
