Nice clean hotel but not central location

Big rooms
6.3
The staff are very polite and try to be helpful but their English is not so good yet so it can be frustrating trying to get them to understand what you want. The rooms are nice and clean. Some have views of Shwedagon pagoda. The hotel is too far from town to walk so you need to take a taxi every time but at least they are cheap!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: A visit to the National Museum is recommended to see the royal regalia from the last Burmese royal families.

Quiet decent hotel

Generally clean and quiet

Quiet hotel at the outskirts but roads leading to it are rather rundown and bumpy. Rooms are clean with basic amenities. Wifi is quite weak in the room but manageable.

The hotel is quite old. Maintenance is not that much and needs major renovation especially the bath room. Located in a very quiet place with spacious parking slots.

A good place to kick off your Burma visit

Large, light, airy rooms, excellent breakfast & good location
7.7
The hotel is clean, pleasant and away from the frenetic traffic noise that characterises many areas of this city.Although it is not located in central Yangon area, main attractions such as the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Bogyoke Market are not far away by taxi. The tariff includes a full Myanmar style buffet breakfast,a good introduction to 'real' Myanmar food as it was our first hotel after arriving in Burma. The hotel staff were also very helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: DO visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda while in Yangon (we went twice). It is both awesome for the visuals (gleaming gold spires) and the reverential atmosphere, with many local citizens, including Buddhist monks and nuns, praying, chanting and making offerings - alongside the ubiquitous camera-toting foreigners.

Good local hotel and location.

Clean room and good service.

Quick check-in without any fuss.Reception even ask if we can speak Chinese(Mandarin) since she knows that we are of Chinese origin. The pillows are very hard and they changed after my request but still not soft enough. As for the breakfast provided is only of average quality and the same menu daily.

Excellent service; good room

Large comfortable room, clean bathroom with all amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite a distance from the major attractions but in a very quite neighbourhood. Overpriced compared with other Asian countries but that's how it is at the moment. Can't comment on the breakfast as we had an early start for the airport.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not fantastic but nice.Rooms were large but worth paying a bit extra for the suite.Hotel was close to to Taw Win shopping centre(10 minute walk)and Sein Gay Har shopping across the road and Junction Square Maw Tin as well. Both with great shops and eating places.Cheap beers and food.Taxis within a 10k radius as little as A$3(2500Kyats).40minute walk to scott markets and a 15 minute taxi ride depending on the traffic. Will stay there again next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Sightseeing: Kandaygyi lake and Swedagon Bagoda. Shopping: Taw Win Centre,Junction Square,Junction Square Maw Tin.Try the Faluda and sa nwe ma kwin (Burmese desert)@ ice cream shop next door. Restaurant:My Garden and buffet at The Chatrium Hotel.Best meals i've ever had including Aus. Hotel.: Take a long shank pad lock as it has a lockable draw. Also has a safe in the room.Lots of storage space.Go down for brekky @ 7am or just before when the food is still hot, gets cold pretty quick.
