they made me feel like family

personalized service, view, beautiful setting in nature
even before I arrived I had emailed the owner , Jack and he went way above and beyond to help me. Then he offered to pick me up from the ferry and made sure someone carried my heavy bags to the room. Then he upgraded my room for no charge and he and his amazing wife, Hua, invited me to a lovely complimentary meal with them and I got to experience her amazing cooking. The room is right on the ocean and you can hear the waves coming in which was very soothing..and the sunrises were magnificent. I had a health issue and it was a monsoon, so Jack personally drove me to the hospital and waited for me and took me back. It's at the southern part of the island which is very beautiful. I love design, so I really appreciate that The restaurant has a cool minimal design with lots of woods and white and the view is phenomenal..they don't call it panorama for nothing. If you like coffee , it has the best on the island. ?.his sister owns a coffee plantation in Chang mai. Jack and Hua are natural hosts , although they both worked in business in the past in telecommunications. I had some time comstraints at the end of my trip so they offered to personally drive me back to Phuket so I would make my flight...I can't say enough good things about them ..and if you're a dog lover, they have 3 lovely dogs!

Good but far

Food, the owners and the sunrise
Everything ok. The only problem is that its too far from everithing and the main issue is that you habe to come back to the hostel before 10 pm.

Not paradisiac as expected!

location with view on the sea, quiet coast of the island
Yes this is an original location with view on the sea, in a very quiet and wild area of Koh Lanta. However, the bungalow was dirty (you had the impression the floor was not even mopped... could see hair of previous travelers...) and very...empty! Just the simple minimum, no decoration, no style or whatsoever. Not even bedsheets (just a big bath towel to cover ourselves). OK this place is for ppl who like simplicity, but it does not mean the owners do not have to make the slightest effort to make it look nice. Furthermore, breakfast was not included in the price and we had to pay quite a lot of money at the restaurant of the owners to have a very normal breakfast. Pity... For us, not good value for money, definitely. For ppl who do not like to be in the wild, do not go there! PS: better to rent a scooter to go there on your own

Calm Down at Koh Lanta

The Amazing View from the Room, the familiar atmosphere, low price delicious food
Since we re arrived, the Owner Couple treated us like a Part of their Family. In this quiet Paradise we were so relaxed like never before. Some Days we just hanged around in their Restaurant for the whole Day, enjoyed the fresh homemade coffee and/or the awesome food. If we had some Problems they helped us everytime. A very special place, but only for good People who appreciate the quietness and the Nature. So at the End of our stay we just dont wanted to leave this Paradise.

Best place to unwind...... totally love it

the oceanview from the balcony and the simple open air shower room are the highlights.
We stayed for just one short night and felt its not enough. The place is simple but very charming. Best to unwind. Food is exellent too...most of the ingredents they use is organic. One thing u need to know is that the place is by the shore line and the noise from the wave is could be a trouble if u are a light sleeper anyway we were ok with it. The owner is very hospitable and always make dure that u will have an excellent stay.

Romantic little bungalow

Sunrises, sound of waves, remoteness
Our stay was great, it was super relaxing. We got the best of both worlds with the sunrise views from our bungalow and seeing the sunset on the other side of the island. The owners are really sweet, their food is delicious and they have great coffee (they own a coffee bean farm in Chiang Mai). If you're looking for a romantic, relaxing stay, falling asleep by the sound of waves, this is the place for you. We also loved the outdoor shower/toilet! We've already recommended it to friends!

Away from Everything

Clean, Good Food, and Kind Staff
I personally had a very nice time here. I think there are a lot of points I want to say about this place, and really it depends on the person if they will view these points as negatives or positives. 1. It is about a 40 min drive from the port in Saladan. (nothing around, no hotels, no touristy things, very isolated) 2. I don't know if it's just the dates that I stayed there, but the waves at night were sooo sooo loud. I had the bungalow closest to the shore, and the sound of the waves were deafnening, I couldn't sleep so well. 3. There aren't many dining options close by, but the hotel is also a restaurant with some good food. Honestly, I had the best chicken fried rice, I have ever had in my life. Also, the menu was a bit pricey (compared to countries like Japan though it was cheap) 4. The bungalows are located on a rocky beach, so no you probably will not be swimming 20 meters from your bungalow, you will have to drive all the way to the other side of the island to find some beaches, take a tour to some islands, or maybe row to the island across. 5. The steps to the bungalows are pretty steep, and there are quite a few to go down to the furthest bungalow (closest to the beach) If you have trouble with stairs or have a lot of luggage, this would definitely be something to look at. 6. There are a lot of geckos, and tons of bugs if you leave your light on at night (for people who are afraid of lizards and bugs) geckos are harmless though and never bothered us during our stay 7. There is no hot water for the shower. The shower and toilet is open air. 8. You can rent a scooter at the hotel for 250baht a day or 200baht/day if you rent it for 2 or more days. Also, you can rent a 2person kayak for 500baht a day at the nearby restaurant. 9 When you get to the port, it is normally a minimum of 400baht per person to get you to the hotel. (NOTE certified TukTuk drivers have a highlighter vest with a number and a sign on their TukTuk with set prices) Hope this was helpful.
