An old address still with acceptable condition

Huge room, nice staff, convenient location
At arrival the staff was perfect: taking care of my bagage, opening the door anbd quick for check-in. The place is old but the lifts are very efficient. The room is very large. Its aquipment is old but functioning. Just the TVs are a bit too old and the images of new standard have to fit in the old ones. Breakfast is correct. The gym is good. From the windo I had a very pleasant view first on a wide garden and second on Bangkok skyscrapers.

Huge Apartment Little out of the Way

Big Rooms, Hot Shower, Friendly Staff
I have stayed here since the 1990s and always enjoy coming back. The one bedroom apartment is huge with large wrap around balcony looking out over Lumpini park. The beds are comfortable, clean and have lots of pillows. The shower is strong and there is a large bathtub for soaking in. Breakfast is good and the garden pool area pleasant to be in.

Good value, but long overdue for refurbishment

Room size, location, price
The room was huge and good value for money. However it was obvious that the room handn't been updated for years, possibly decades. A fridge with rusty edges; an old, warn carpet; lamps badly converted to modern bulbs with wobbly shades and fittings; old CRT TVs; other lights not working; no washer/dryer or iron and board as indicated on Agoda's facilities list; a damp smell on the corridor and a general impression that the place was slowly decaying and not being looked after. The management didn't seem too keen on talking to the guests; they seem to have their morning meeting every day in a room next to the breakfast room but don't bother to pay any attention to the guests when they come out of their meeting direct into the breakfast room. On the good side, there was a good pool and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was truly exceptional for its size relative to the room rate (I heard from a nearby restaurant that some floors had been refurbished; seems like our rate was too low to get a refurbished room. A shame because the hotel clearly wasn't full and giving us a better room may have generated a better review.) I might go back again, although it wouldn't be a first choice.

Good location , bad flooding

location, room size, friendly concierge
Our stay was OK the staff were friendly however English was an issue. The hotel itself was nice the lobby well-appointed however the rooms were very old and tired and things just didn’t work. The first two days the water did not heat up in the shower, the shower in the 3 rooms both us and our friends stayed in was over the bath and leaked to the point that the bath room was flooded and water was swishing around the toilet and this was most unacceptable, this happened in three separate rooms, The staff were not able to fix it and pretty much just smiled and avoided taking action . We stayed for 7 nights and then were away for a week then returned for an additional 3 nights before flying home. Most fixtures were damaged and loose and in some cases didn’t work at all , including light switches. The tiles were damaged and grout was very grimy in both the bathroom and the kitchen area. The carpets were dirty and stained. We booked a king bed and they gave us two king singles pushed together, and then when we asked to have a room with a straight king bed as booked they simply came to our room and put on another mattress protector. They were good with service in concierge looking after our language whilst we took a trip within Thailand for a week and the guys at the door were always there to welcome you home and to secure a taxi if needed. I had a lot of tailoring done so the generous size of the rooms was great for trying on clothes and for storing shopping . The hotel is located in a great local area and is only a 150-200 TT trip into the centre of Bangkok

a week at Pantip

location , room size , nice staff
we stayed for over a week and while the location. is great for our needs and the rooms are large and the staff friendly , theircengkish isn't great ,, the rooms server yoke and dated and once fittings and fixtures get so old they are difficult to clean and always look dirty and just tired ,,! the staff are great couldn't be more helpful and the rooms are huge perfect for having people over as we were visiting friends who live in bangkok and we were traveling with another couple ,! it was a an average if a 150 baht ride into the main city and great shopping 1/2 hour in traffic, but traffic is always a challenge in bangkok l! all in all we liked pantip and aside from the rooms being old in record and fittings they were comfortable

Excellent value.

Great location close to MRT. Huge rooms. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful grounds and pool.
Ours was a quiet stay in a good location. Our only criticisms are that the shower leaked and there were no chairs on the balcony.

very large room, apartment

space, view, pool garden
very nice stay, most of hotels now offer small room 25square meters, so when you have a large apartment with balcony, it s really great, living room with dining room and kitchen, bedroom, large bathroom space space !!! really nice ,
