Very nice
Great hotel in perfect location. Only downside is that it might be a bit tricky to find the room as you need to go through 2 elevators and a ramp from one buiding to the other.

Perfectly placed to explore the city.
So centrally placed you can leave the hotel in any direction to explore Amsterdam. It's Visible from the railway station so no problem finding it when you arrive. The tram terminal is there as well as are the canal cruises. Perfectly placed to see the city. Clean, quiet comfortable room and with cooling A/C for hot days.

Not worth the money
The outside of the building is the nicest part. The room we stayed in was supposed to be in the 'renovated wing' however it still felt like a 20 year old hotel room, it was very bare, poorly decorated and dusty. Having a shower resulted in the entire bathroom floor being covered in water. The one redeeming feature of this hotel was it's location and the amazing staff.

Strategic Location but old
Dislike : I got the room on 3rd floor with a good view towards the centrall station, BUT the carpet on the floor stink and the bad smell was stronger as my room is on next door next to the stair, reaaaalyyyyy strange smell !!! Inside the room, there were enough basic facilities BUT the curtain in bathroom smelled very bad too, therefore my mood while taking a shower was in hurry and not relaxed.(Never bathing) However, the hotel's location was very convenient to get around Amsterdam, I could go for shopping and then took all shopping bags back to hotel and then continue shopping or sightseeing. The staff was helpful, the porters assisted all my 4 large suitcases. Check in and out process were quick. If back to Amsterdam again, I would consider stay around this area.

Expensive for what you get
We booked the superior room thinking it would be something special however this was not the case. The hotel looks great from the outside but the rooms are small and very outdated. The bathroom is tiny and had a terrible odour. Breakfast was really average and I am glad they provided it free for the first morning as I certainly wouldn't pay for it. There are lots of places nearby that you can get a good breakfast. The positive for the hotel is that it is really close to central station and not too far from all the attractions. There are plenty of places to eat at nearby too. The staff are mostly quite good and helpful. Overall the room was disappointing for the price you pay.

Good location and staf
I spent 2 nights in this hotel with my family. The location is very good in front of Amsterdam central station. My son below 12 y.o stay freely in the room. We can go shopping and sightseeing just walk along the street and took Hop off hop on bus nearby. The staffs are friendly and helpful to give informations. We can walk to Nemo Scientific Centre around 20 minutes.
