Very Disappointing

Location, View from roof, Friendly housekeeping staff

I was very disappointed with this hotel. When I was checking in another guest called reception complaining about the heat. When I got to my room it was very stuffy. I put on the air conditioning turn knob to "hi" and left the room for dinner. When returning it was even hotter than before to the point it was making me sweat. I called reception who advised its central heating and told me to set it on low and open the windows. They offered a fan which I accepted as I had booked the hotel for 4 nights. They confirmed room number to deliver the fan. Unsure what happened but I did not receive it. I had to sleep with the windows open, in order to not damage the curtains I had to leave them wide open also. This meant i got all the noise from the local fire station trucks rushing off and the sun waking me up at 6:30am. The bathroom was also a let down, they use shower curtains (which I hope they change after every stay or this could contain other peoples urine and any number of things) and the shower was very small and had no water pressure so was not easy to get a comfortable temperature shower even after following the detailed instructions on how to get the water to work. After dealing with lack of ability to sleep, unpleasant showering, I was excited about the idea of checking out. i was surprised there was a $2 charge to hold my bag for the day. I asked why they charge and I was told it was because they did not have much space and it is to discourage people from leaving there bag. If i had not prepaid though a third party booking agent i would have checked out the first night and found another hotel. Only things I can not fault is the Location and the housekeeping staff who made an effort to say good morning. Unfortunately even the location being so good would not bring me back to this hotel, when i stay in a hotel I expect to be comfortable and be able to use the room in a way that fits my schedule not the other way around.

I had a pleasant stay, a good hotel for business travelers not needing anything but a comfy bed to sleep in.

A fairly good hotel, but not 4 stars

Great location at a reasonable price
8.7
The hotel is in a great location. The room is an adequate size and very clean and tidy. The TV channels were good, as was the Wifi, though it was limited to 250 MB per day. As previously mentioned, the room was rather chilly (in winter), but there was an extra blanket available. The room was also not very well insulated in terms of sound. You could easily hear the closing of doors and other activities in the hall, but luckily no one was loud late at night. The main drawback, however, is the very early check-out time of 10 am.

Not even worth

Great Location, Close to attractions and Access to Transport

Got stuck in a room right in front of the elevator so the noise of both the doors and people talking in large groups in the hallway was ridiculous. Bathroom was smaller than my closet at home. You are literally standing next to the toilet to take a shower! To make matters worse - there was no hot water. Went down to ask to change room because of the problem and I was told that because I booked through an online service, that was all they had for the price. If I was willing to pay, I would be able to move to the other side of the building (same size room though). Will never book here again. Would rather pay more and actually get more. I travel to Sydney frequently for work so these guys have lost regular income.
