Best location
Train station is right behind the hotel just 2 mins walk which make life really easy. Short walk to Chinatown and Raffles Place. Will stay there again.

Mix of very good and very bad
The Good: The hotel is in an excellent location - close to Chinatown and Clarke Quay. I booked a premier room and the room was big and the bed one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed. The walk in shower and rain shower was huge and the views were excellent. The TV selection was good and the bathroom amenities all fine. The breakfast spread was also excellent and quite delicious. The Average: I had the lobsterfest buffet for $99 with unlimited drinks. There were actually less selections than normal as the multiple lobster dishes substituted normal stuff like the pasta station. The cold lobster which was the best but again not as fresh as the Marriott normal seafood dinner buffet which was a bit disappointing. The Bad: The service in Lime (the only restaurant in the hotel) was horrible. Night 1 dinner: Missing Napkin (had to ask for one); food took a long time to come (the laughable thing was that they apologized for the delay for the food as they explained that it takes time to debone the chicken - the chicken came out at the end - with bones). Servers was unattentive - they seem to have this trick where we would wave for attention, they would see us then pretend not to see us. i.e. they would walk towards us, see us raising our hands to get attention then turn the other way - maybe just huge co-incidences .... but this pattern of behavior was noticed in the next few subsequent meals also .... We ordered the chicken and the fish - both chef recommended. The chicken was over-cooked and the fish over-salted .... Incidentally when we checked in there was a guest there complaining very loudly that he ordered expensive room service that was inedible (soup too salty) ... and at that point we just thought he must be just a cry-baby and being difficult .... but after the underwhelming 2 course mean we had for 2 ppl for $140SGD we were tempted to believe that he was actually being short changed ... BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT ORDER A LA CARTE A

Nice location
Was allocated a room handicapped friendly. However the bathroom was not clean enough and the design will easily wet the whole floor and toilet papers etc.

Good customer service but the facilities were poor
The toiletries box was empty when we checked in. The sound system was AGAIN faulty and we could not connect our iphone via bluetooth/AV cables/AUX cables. None of the options in the vast mediahub worked. It never worked the last time and it didnt work this time. Time to change it!

Environmental friendly hotel
Had a staycation over the weekend, however last weekend was rather a busy one due to Pinkdot event at Hong Lim Park (adjacent to hotel) in which all rooms are all occupied. Although I book my hotel stay 3-4 months back requesting for a city view, but I didn't get my request. Got room no. 931, superior King room. Room, overall okay, equip with any other hotels. Toilet slightly small with a separate loo and shower area. Didn't really slept well as we keep hearing sounds of water pipes leaking from the bathroom. Checking out strictly at 12pm. If you are driving, you have to take two different sides of the lifts to either to your room and to carpark. Waiting time at lobby was slightly longer when check in, due to the event. However, check out was much quicker. Two complimentary parking coupons a day for guests. If not, you can pay up to $65 for parking at the hotel. Didn't manage to explore the hotel facilities but will come back next time to do so. Hotel exterior and interior lovely, with much greeneries but if you are facing the inner side of the hotel, you will be facing directly to blocks of housing estates.
