Excellent for tourists (less so for business)

Clean, happy staff and nicely decorated

I was here on business for about a month. It is a very nice boutique hotel that caters to tourists. However, the rooms are smallish with limited space for work and storing your clothes if you are here on business. I stayed a week and then moved to a nearby hotel with bigger rooms, a gym with large pool and cheaper rates.

Disappointed

The breakfast. The restaurant area. The staff

Judging by the pictures, write up and reviews I was expecting to be wowed on arrival at this hotel, instead I questioned the tuk tuk driver on whether he had taken us to right place! The hotel is down a side alley off the main road, it's full of garbage and is in very close proximity (literally feet) to local small business's with homes above. The reception area is lovely, check in was speedy and our bags brought up to our room within minutes. The location was bad enough but the room was worse! I had booked a 'superior' double for my last 6 days, which was quite expensive compared to several I have stayed in, in Cambodia so expected some luxury. The room was small, dark, oppressive, had an air of neglect about it and generally looked unfinished. We were on the first floor and the room had windows to 2 walls, both looked directly into people's living rooms and onto their balcony several feet away, so if we could see into their's, they could see into our's so curtains had to be closed at all times. The mattress was on a concrete base, There were gaps around the headboard and side area and on closer inspection I could see small bugs...so neither of us slept well.

Phantastic value for money in the city center

Restaurant/Pool on top of the building, value for money, location
9.3
Great stay. Very friendly staff. Everything was clean. Relatively quiet as it is located in a side street. Pool on top of the hotel (7th floor) offered a great view over the city. Same goes for the restaurant (where they also serve breakfast) that is just below the pool. Room had just the right size and was clean. Comfortable bed and tasteful decoration. Most attractions within walking distance, otherwise there are always motos and tuk-tuks in front of the hotel. Several restaurants and coffee shops just outside the hotel.

An oasis in a very crowded, communist city

Tranquility, beautifil design, friendly staff

Our stay was fantastic. Pnon Penh is a former communist city and that shows. The city is not very beautiful, the food isn't that good, the people are poor, but the prizes for tourist are very high in comparison with Thailand. We loved to come to the Patio in the evening after a day out. The restaurant and swimmingpool are beautiful designed and great. When we return to PP, we surely will stay in the Patio hotel again.

Value for money

Modern rooms, tasty food, awesome pool.

We spent 5 days at the Patio Hotel & Urban Resort, with our teenage/young adult children, and we all had a wonderful time. The rooms were very modern and had a great shower and very cool air-con. We loved the location of the restaurant - great food, great view, and always nice and breezy. The location of Patio can't be over looked. It is in a great neighbourhood with shopping, restaurants, and bars all in walking distance. We would definitely stay there again. The staff were wonderful - friendly, polite and helpful.
