Overall disappointed
Booked beach front chalet which was much more than non beach front chalet or standard room. Room was awful - stains on the bed, blood on the sheet, single bed duvet inner in a double bed duvet cover, soiled and broken furniture, dirty marks on the floor and on the dresser, no wardrobe just a very samll hanging area with four hangers, no towels in room and we had to ask, brown towels maybe so you dont see the stains, on first day we asked for the sheets to be changed and then the room was cleaned, thereafter no room cleaning until the fourth day and the coffee/tea in the room was only replenished upon our request, even when the room was cleaned it was done poorly, food was very tasty and not expensive, internet only in public areas, outside areas are quite nice, right on the beach. Tip - best snorkelling is on the Northern side of the beach between the island and a small offshore rock island.

Gorgeous location, standard accommodation
The beachfront chalets are truly beachfront with a 1m wide concrete path being all that separates them from the beach and the warm sea. Snorkelling is amazing and can be done right off the beach. There is astounding coral surrounding the rocks literally metres from the shore. We had a standard chalet and it was exactly that, very small but adequate for somewhere to sleep and with a nice veranda overlooking the sea. Food in the restaurant/beach bar was excellent during the day with a wide choice at good value prices. However, the buffet breakfast did not live up to this standard. No cereal or milk for the coffee. Bread was stale and hot offerings were limited. There is a shop which was well stocked and the activities centre also rents out snorkels and life jackets. Good walks over the headland to Turtle Beach and Berjaya beach. Resort is very chilled, safe and relaxed. Kids loved it and made us stay an extra day!

Bored staff
Standard lodge is really standard and the staff at the reception and the activity desk seem to be bored all the time, they are not really helpful. Even organising a boat trip which they offer, was very complicated...

Alright place just old
We stayed in the standard chalet which was slightly old. Toilet was leaking the whole time. Bath towels had an odd smell and doesn't absorb well. Probably old towels. TV in room had no signal. Buffet breakfast spread could be better. Could improve WIFI range. Public toilet next to reception could be improved especially when guests have to check out by 10am and wait til 2pm for a ferry. Beachfront was clean and nice. Lots of fishes around. Loved the many taps around to wash sand off feet. Swimming pool was nice even at noon as there is a bit of shade. Great for cooling off.

Make us whole night can't even sleep well. Very bad experience for the stay!!!! The next morning we are request to change to the other room, the staff move us to the room that not worth to the price that we paid, but we just accept as long as is clean and without bugs!!!! But the room is small and the carpet is full of hair and dust. I will never come back again even is FREE!!!! Is a nightmare ever.
