Very Disappointing

Location, Beach Front rooms and food

The location is good but over all it's a total waste of money. There's a lot of good hotel in the area at a lower price. Their hillside rooms are unbearable. dirty pools.many insects defective facilities bad experience for us. I really regretted booking in this hotel.

First Stay at the Pearl of the Pacific Hotel

The people and the beachfront access.
6
It was my first time to Boracay so I have nothing else to base or compare with. Upon arrival, the lady at the reception seemed nice and greeted with a lovely smile. Welcome drinks were served and a staff led us to our room. The beachfront room on the second floor was spacious; however, it wasn't the nicest. The doors, sliding glass door to the balcony and the washroom was a bit worn out. There was shampoo and body wash but no toothbrush set. At the price I’ve paid I expected basic commodities were provided so I didn't bring one. The safe in the room was closed and not working. The staff was unable to fix and open it. I could put my valuables at the reception but their mini lockers didn't seem very secure. Many small yellow stains were found on all the linens and towels (not sure if it's from the gecko). Complimentary water bottles weren’t replaced every day, I had to ask. No beach chairs were provided on the beach as shown in the photo on their website. Photos were definitely for reference or for the purpose of the shoot. When I felt really sick in my stomach, I asked for hot water and some medicine. They brought me a kettle and a lady came to my room and explained the medication she was giving out. My boyfriend tipped her but she refused and said she was here to help me. Hearing that made me felt calm and comfortable especially I was in an immense amount of pain. During checkout, the lady said we drank two cans of beer from the mini bar and was about to charge us. We had to deny firmly to not be charged. She didn’t question further. It got me thinking if it was the drinks weren't fully replenished from the start and they were aware of it or the guy who was checking our room during check out tried to pull something. In summary, people were nice and helpful but the facilities and the condition of the hotel was a bit not up to standard for the price I've paid. Other than the beachfront access, I wouldn't choose to stay there again.

One of the most unplesant hotel ever...

Its proximity to a fancy neighboring hotel where I found solace while staying in the Peral of the Pacific.
2.7
Unplesant...to say it mildly. Horrible would be more accurate. First - upon my arrival, the staff at the reception desk attempted to give me a room facing a rather vague terrain, neighboring the hotel property, when I had paid for a "garden view". After I complained, the situation was corrected. The hotel infrastructure is old, and run down to the point that, using the stairs to climb to my room was rendered dangerous as the floor was uneven, and poorly light at night. As the hotel is split over the main road (one part of the hotel on one side, and the remaining on the other)the bridge that would allow to travel from one side to the other was just plainly unsafe, cluttered with electricity wires.I am not one to see danger everywhere but this was unstable that it was now a hazard. The toilet in my room would not flush properly. The balcony attached to my room was left dirty and unattended. The roof in my room was the residence of a colony of ants which, as they ate their way through the bamboo ceiling, left piles of wood dust on my bed...Need I go on? The food - if such word can be used to described what the hotel was serving - was a misery. Even though the "breakfast" was included in the price of the room, I made a point of going elsewhere and avoided any dealing with the "restaurant". The only morning I used the facility, I was served "3 in 1" as a way of coffee! The chef was standing beside the "buffet", smoking a cigarette nonchalantly (maybe he had enough of this place as well!) The only day I wanted to use the internet...to book a flight to actually shorten my stay at this hotel, the internet did not work! I did manage to advance my departure and left the place. I had booked for 6 nights. I stayed 2. I could not stand it any longer. And the fact I could not get any of my deposit back was still felt like a redemption by that point. I was so happy to get back to Manila. That says it all! Avoid this hotel at all cost.
