Hotel Exterior Needs a Major Makeover

Location, Quiet at Night, Large Room
The room itself was clean funky smell or anything. Shower and bathroom were working fine. However accesibility is a major concern especially for older people or PWDs...please repair the elevator from ground floor of lobby to 2nd level so that the 50-75 steps to hillside rooms can be lessened somehow. Breakfast lacks variety and flavor. Most importantly, please do MAJOR RENOVATION on all of hotel exteriors especially the bridgeway which is in danger of collapsing.

Horrendous Hotel
The stay at the hotel was awful. The hotel is not clean at all. I would not swim in the pool as the water was cloudy and stagnant. We arrived early and tried to ask about an early check in willing to pay a fee, the staff said this was unavailable. This is fair enough so we asked if they had an area where would could change so that we could head to the beach. They showed us into a damp filthy room and told us we could change here. To be fair to the hotel this room was deemed out of order. However, when we saw our own room i could see no difference between the out of order one and ours. There seemed to be blood stains on the bed and on the floor. Added to this the mirror was smeared with an unidentifiable substance and the bathroom was rusty. This is the first time i had ever seen a toilet seat that had been broken and then sewed back together. The pillow and quilt which should of been white was a brown hue. There were only flannels to use as towels and the drain had hair in it plus there were no toiletries. We complained and were upgraded to a beach front room. Most of the staff then treated us with disdain. In the beach room i wouldn't say things were much better but we did have at least a towel to dry ourselves. However, we now passed over a bridge to reach our room which was not safe at all. It was crumbling down and the iron holding the concrete together was rusting. Our room was not cleaned during the stay. When sleeping i woke up a few times and our bed was filled with ants. The breakfast was not anything near to a continental breakfast standard. There was pasta with meat, rice or toast. There was some fruit but it was left out in the open. Finally, the toilets for use when at the beach were disgusting! Rust and sanitary dirt everywhere, plus urine. I still cannot believe this is rated a 3 star. I feel ripped off and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have stayed in better hostels. Never have i wished for a holiday to end more!

Expected more

Location, beach front and has a pool
It was okay since the room was big and clean. Airconditioning in the room is nice and cold. The beach front and location are perfect. However the hotel is not maintained well. You can see its age. Limited toiletries, towels and food availability.

This is not the Pearl

Having direct access to the beach
The worst in my many years of going back to the island. Room is not clean, has lots of roaches. The staff did not assist us during our arrival/departure. Beach front tent is broken and no one bothers to fix it. We ordered beer and its out of stock. Breakfast food is like a dog food. And there is just garbage everywhere you go around the hotel area! You don't see any of the hotel staff around to help you. The free my desk staff is so passive that you have to repeat almost everything you say twice to ensure understanding. We requested for a shuttle from the hotel to the jetty which took over 2 hours to request. Worst it needs me from the hotel staff apologized not offered assistance with our load. No one is cleaning the pool and no one is watching while kids are swimming. Security is so lax that everyone can virtually walk in and rob you at gun point. In fact I did not see any security at all! Pearl of the Pacific is the worst place to stay in Boracay!

It has deteriorated

The only good thing about this hotel is its location
The rooms we got were not ready when we arrived. I feel like the hotel itself is mismanaged.

Waste of money if not for the transfer of room

None it was only the beach, sand and Jonas's shake that made up for their short commings.
We had booked two of their rooms by the swimming pool. I was dissapointed that my daughter's and I had a very stressful first time in Boracay experience. The room we initially booked looked clean...but closer you could see that the refrigerator was rusty and dirty, there was a trash can that was also rusty and the wooden cabinets had a moldy smell as well as creeping sounds. Their sheets and blankets looked comfortable in the pictures...but up close some of the pillows have cigaret holes burned through as well as stains. My family and I slept through the first night with the bed bugs...proof that I kept itching every time I would settle down on the bed. There was no mini bar nor a kettle in our room. Front desk wasn't so pleasing, that they asked me if I had asked for the kettle...when it was supposed to be included as well as a DVD player in every room. To make things worse my family and I woke up to a very poorly prepared buffet breakfast. Plates as well as other utensils looked old and chipped. I was very concerned about the cleanliness. For a price of 300 each for each my daughters I was expecting more choices than your usual eggs, fish and hot dog. After brining this to the management, they eventually let us move to their beach front was the only thing that made us stay. Ms. Zenaida was the only staff that understood our predicament. However, aside from the perk of having a great view the room was bigger...although the cleanliness was still the same. I asked housekeeping to clean the floor on the next day of our stay...a guy came to our room with an old beach towel and made his way through our room rubbing the towel with his feet, with no decent cleaning aids. The bed was still the same, it had a dirty feel to it as well as the stains. the restroom was ok, but you could see the tiles in the shower area were not cleaned as well. Because it was black compared to the clean grout on the other tiles. it was otherwise an ok stay for us.
