Average hotel, but not as bad as day reviews

Location, cheap, safe area
The hotel was pretty decent - not half as bad as the previous reviews suggested. It is a budget hotel so keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. It is certainly not a 3 star hotel - perhaps the hotel should change its self-assigned rating. Location is perfect for exploring central London.

Reasonable price

perfect location and good price
Very good location. Spacious family room, elevator, reasonable price. But terrible breakfast, broken bathroom door. Poor convenient facilities. (Useing public refrigerator for baby meals, they didn't have Baggage Room. Poor service. Old bedding and towels. ) I found someone's hair in bathroom ,and used tea spoon in the tea station. So I can't say this hotel is definitely not three stars hotel.

Mixed Feelings

location,sleep quality, breakfast
Last night when I arrived at the hotel, I would have given them an absolutely damning review. My tune has slightly changed this morning as I have to say, I did sleep very well there. The area is fairly quiet and the bed was reasonably comfortable. And I thought the continental breakfast overall wasn't bad. But now to the bad points: My single room was like a matchstick box - could barely get it the room with my bag. Misleading when I was booking as it said room with shower but actually it was room with a shower two flight of stairs up. Similarly with the toilet. TV in my room was not plugged in when I arrived which doesn't sound like a big deal, but actually the plug sockets for the TV, kettle, digital box were tucked away behind this heavy piece of furniture and it was really difficult for me to sort. The TV itself looked like the very first TV I ever owned. So old! And the digital box...well what I discovered quite quickly was that after it had been switched on for a while it would overheat and at that point it would lose signal!! So I was playing a game of switch on, switch off all night while trying to watch a show. The room itself, apart from being minuscule, didn't feel particularly clean. Kind of dusty. There were some teabags and a sachet of coffee and sugars, yet just one little tub of long life milk? And no wifi available. I actually think I could have forgiven all the other things, including having to go up two flights of stairs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night if they at least provided wifi to the rooms. But no... So yeah, overall the stay was pretty bad.
