Set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens and vineyards, Peppers Convent Hunter Valley is an indulgent retreat at the heart of New South Wale's famous wine country. The French Baroque-styled property is a former convent which has been converted into a luxury guesthouse which is now home to 17 rooms, all with verandas and spectacular views over the valley. All are tastefully decorated and fitted with comforts like a king-sized bed and deliciously deep bath. A hearty breakfast is served in the elegant Sun Room, Chez Pok restaurant serves gourmet Australian cuisine for lunch and dinner, and the well-known Roberts Restaurant and Pepper's wine tasting barn are a short stroll away. Very pretty, peaceful hotel with friendly staff
very clean, nice surroundings, good location, friendly staff, complementary pre-dinner and canapes
its was raining badly during our whole stay, but it did not bother us since the place is so nice and relaxing. great for a weekend getaway. We also love the complementary pre-dinner drink and canapes. Only con was the bathroom was a bit old fashioned, but still very clean

Lovely but not up to excellent standards
Lovely setting with an old world charm
Peppers convent is a lovely hotel - but not the best option for people who want pristine cleanliness... Unfortunately our bathroom walls were spotted with mold and the place has quite a musky smell to it. Another two small annoyances - the remote to our TV was missing, so we had to constantly walk over to the TV to turn it on/off and change channels etc. And lastly the scrambled eggs at breakfast come from a packet mix - they're not fresh eggs. Apart from those small downsides we did actually have a lovely stay at Peppers. And - much to my excitement - Peppers Convent is actually the grand looking house where all the Farmers and contestants first go in Farmer Wants A Wife!

Great location, but expenses for what it was
Quite location, walking distance to Hope Estate concerts
It was a nice boutique property, offering a quite and relaxed atmosphere. But due to the Neil Diamond concert the price was exceptionally high. Was not worth the money, but the location was great. Only 800 metre walk to the Hope Estate concert.
