Views and beach are great

View, beach, food
This hotel's main selling point is clearly its gorgeous view of Tonsai bay and Phi Phi Leh (where Maya bay is). It's difficult to understate these views. You can spend several hours staring out at them day or night. The food is also wonderful. Make sure to try the fresh seafood one night there; it's even better than what we ate in town, if not a bit more expensive. The restaurant is pricey even by local tourist standards, but generally worth it for a few meals. Long Beach is also one of the nicer beaches on the south side of the island (I can't compare it to the north side). That being said, it is a bit of a hassle to get to and from the town. Water taxis aren't cheap and don't run at night. There are motor bikes that you can arrange if you're not afraid to get on a bike with a local. So if you choose this hotel, it's best to expect to relax there for a good part of your stay. Our stay there was nice; It truly is beautiful. The biggest issue we had was the room classification. All of the bungalows have the same design. We chose a Grand Deluxe, the most expensive room, and were a bit disappointed that the hotel had used some camera angles to make it seem bigger and more deluxe than the deluxe sea view. The only difference is that those bungalows have the best, most unobstructed view. Our room was on the highest level and had a great view, but honestly speaking, all the rooms, even the cheaper ones have a great view. The view from the beach is also nice, so perhaps the mid-level priced rooms are the best deal here.

On Long Beach, the view, food
The stay was ok. Our room was not clean when we checked in but the view was amazing. We loved the food at the restaurant but the service was super slow and the drinks tasted unalcoholic. Also annoying that there is no way to get into town except by boat so if it rains you're stranded at the hotel.

Good view, average staff, very isolated

Nice 3* hotel, the ocean views are great from the rooms. Hotel is in construction And could use some maintenance. Very isolated so to go to town you have to walk 45min through the jungle (in the dark at night) since the bus boats are very tricky to get. No pool, nice beach. Staff could be better trained.

Island paradise

The location is amazing and not overrun with people. Best snorkeling in the area is just opposite the resort.
Tranquil! Will definately return! Reception Staff could be more friendly. Dining and other staff was nice and quick to help but never in the way. Amazing views!

Enchanting...relaxing..better than many reviews...

The location..the tranquility..the peace and quiet make this one of the best locations and learn to tip BEFORE you leave you find people do more for you and tipping is a way of life here ...
We paid extra for the best room..we tipped the guy with the buggie immediately and never had any issues with transport..we tipped the housekeeper on day one and could not have had more towels or shampoos even if we wanted and our room was always left nice and air conditioned by her should we forget..Khun Ann the Longboat guy was a dream to be out with for 7 hours and could not have given us a better day at our insistance he took lunch with us securing I am sure coves and private beaches not on the itininerary...So in fairness to all these negitive reports that you read..do not be put off..we are world first class travellers..this is not a 5 star luxury hotel but you will not have any complaints if you go with the right frame of mind and understand these people work a whole month for what we pay for a good evening meal so if we cannot respect their hard work in advance..tip..and benefit the luxury of being taken care of..thats just the system..it works..try it and enjoy this amazing venue.. The Longboat is a sure Winner...thumbs up and thanks to KHUN ANN..from Paul Bainbridge ..Pattaya..

Lovely location

Beach, views and beach restaurant.
We enjoyed our stay here paricularly due to the quiet location and lovely beach with private loungers. Not for the party animals! Breakfast was fine although not the best we had on our trip, but rather spoiled by the cat freely wandering around the dining area. Meals in the beach restaurant were very nice, not the cheapest but good value given the quality. we had a basic room which had a lovely view, not too far from the bar and we could access the wifi. It was a little tired and the bathroom was very small but the location made up for that. The aircon worked well and we were well placed for walks to the other side of the island.
