Environment OK but housekeeping are noisy

Environment, swimming, food ok
Just so so and less than what i expected. Cabin are alright, swimming pool are alright. I expecting fresh air in the morning while walking over to get my breakfast, but i smell smoke, burning of woods, this is so bad when my plan for this trip is with my pregnant wife for relaxing holiday here. Another frustration was the housekeeping, while we asleep in the morning(around 10-11am), the upper cabin are doing housekeeping and moving stuff, the noise are huge due to wooden cabin and we can't even get a good rest, that's annoying. Yeah we're lured to here due to the nice photo taken and advertisement from facebook, yeah is nice scene like what you see but that's all, nothing much to impress here. I think the hard earn money worth some place better. Try to reconsider if you plan to travel here. Is OK but not a impresive place to stay.

a bit too pricey for the service..

environment, easy to find its location, nice scenery
Morning buffet - few things extra (if compared to the buffet provided in other 3-4 stars hotel) such as make roti canai/waffle on the spot if receive order. Food and beverage - went to seek for local food in malacca town.. no comment.. Welcome - 5 star hotel's staff only standing and watching you carrying luggagesss without volunteer to help, under hot sun! Maintenance - toilet bowl drainage speed like tortoise, but was got repaired and back to normal once received complaint.. but 5 stars hotel's maintenance supposed to be... Room cleanliness, design and surrounding environment - overall good. Facilities - the 'ponds' and the 'waterfall' just beside the swimming pool were kinda disappointing during the period of stay, one pond was dried up most likely on purpose, then the other ponds were full with stagnant greenish turbid water, waterfall was off. Maybe it is under maintenance, but was not informed..

Staff service is good but not worth the money

Very good service from all the staff, nice wooden log house and overall the hotel concept is very nice with lots of nature and green
Firstly I must comment that the staff service was very friendly and the concept of the whole resort was very well planned with the feel of surrounded by nature and the wooden log house is beautiful. But apart from that the rest are big disappointment. The pictures only looks nice in the website. But the whole place doesn't seems like it is well maintained. The room is poorly lighted and due to that the room doesn't look clean. The huge pond next to the swimming pool smells. The kids club is dirty, the toys are old and broken. My son even found a dead lizard on the floor. The indoor restaurant for breakfast is full of fly. I can understand if it is outdoor but not when it is indoor with aircon. This would have been a very nice place if only it is well maintained.

Excellent environment

Cleanliness, staff performance and environment
Philea is a perfect place for couples and family . I stayed for 2d1n and everything is good! After I checked in , I realised the water pump and air con is not working very well. I called the reception and the staff solved the problems promptly! We felt grateful for such a good service. Overall, our stay in philea is good ! But perhaps the resort can be improved by having more swimming pools. The pool was too crowded during my stay and I don't have chance to enjoy the facilities.
