Wouldn't stay again despite cheap price
Comfortable bed, good WiFi & many TV channels
DURATION: 1 night (that's enough) TYPE: Standard DEMO: Mid to late twenties couple PRO: Great WiFi (room #126). Big windows, lots of light. Many TV channels. Decent location, near bus terminals. Nice staff. Breakfast provided. Crazy cheap price. Bathroom slippers provided. Motorcycle rental available ($6/day). Restaurant available on the property. CONS: Fake eyelashes and stains on the bathroom rug. Ants crawling all over the floor. A/C unit drainage leaks all over the bathroom floor. Shower is located directly over the toilet. Very loud music from the wedding / club below.

Rude staff, loud music, ants in bedroom
Actual bed was ok
When we arrived the receptionist was incredibly rude, not even acknowledging us initially. He didn't tell us what time breakfast was or that we needed meal vouchers. He wouldn't give us directions to the bus station. There was no offer to help carry our large backpacks up 3 flights of stairs with no life. There was no mention that there was a wedding going on in the hotel with incredibly loud music from about 4pm til we left at 7am the next morning. The room had not been cleaned and a bag full of used makeup and a random assortment on pills was left in the room. The room was also crawling with ants, which climbed into my bag and continued to infest things all the way to Battambang. Clearly ineptitude and mismanagement runs in the family, though luckily this guy is in charge of a hotel rather than the entire country. My husband and I stayed in 11 hotels during our trip round Cambodia, Laos and Thailand- this was the most expensive and by far the worst accommodation we came across.

Efficient budget city hotel
Price, close to CBD, quiet
Pleasant. Stayed extra few hours for a small fee.Sightseeing Mekong River was easy to do. Wandering around day time central markets was a good experience. River front restaurants and bar good value. Felt safe at all times.

Mediocre
Breakfast, location
Nasty bathroom, tired room, ok location but.surprisingly good breakfast. One staff member hard work though the guy who came on later was friendly enough. Cheap and we knew we were only staying one night.

Clean rooms and in a good location,
Mainly a hotel for locals, hardly anybody spoke english
When we arrived the lady at the reception did not really know what to do with us. I showed her our booking voucher, she gave us a room key and that was it. She was just shy. I don't think to many foreigners staying there. Anyway we had aircon plus hot water showers and a good bed. So we were happy.

Nice hotel good location
Close but not too close to the centre
I moved here for my last night as it was so much closer to the centre of interest - the water front on the banks of the Mekong River. The Mekong Crossing restaurant was a great place to visit for a drink or a meal being ideally placed on the riverfront with alfresco tables. I hired a bike and visited several interesting sights including the Bamboo Bridge and the Island that it serves.

Better Choices in Town
The Room
this hotel is located close to the centre of town, a few minutes walk from the river. this is a large hotel that looks much more impressive from outside than it really is. although our room was ok and came with a small fridge and by large tv, there were many problems. the free wifi advertised on agoda doesn't exist and even the three computers located in the lobby for the use of guests were not working. this is pretty poor when a $5.00 guesthouse room in cambodia normally gets you free wifi access. service in the hotel was poor to indifferent. the 'highlight' being the restaurant where the breakfast that was included in our rate was served. when we sat down the waitress 'cleaned' the table by collecting all the used paper napkins and throwing them on the floor! all in all, there are far better places to stay in kampong cham.

How one bad apple can spoil a hotel stay.
Convenience yet not right downtown, cleaning staff were good.
i would avoid this place like the plague. i have never, in all of south asia, been treated to as unwelcoming a receptionist as the day shift person at phnom pros hotel. it's as if he were trained to make you feel like an imposition. he wasn't just having a bad day, this went on day after day until i left a day early (with no refund)just to get out of there. the room was okay except the bathroom was always wet and the hot water ran out within 5 minutes. the mattress was what i refer to as an indian mattress, that is, very hard. there was an outbreak of flying "ants" i put up with on one of the nights. worst of all, the hotel was basically half full when i was there and put me right above the dance hall to listen to booming music in the evenings. i was the only person in that wing of the hotel. when i asked for a room on the other side of the property, i was told not to worry, the loud music would end at 10:00pm, so i would only have to listen to it for 4 hours. what a way to run a hotel. also be aware that the hotel primarily caters to asian businessmen, so the staff understand very little english.

Basic hotel, slight walk to town
Air con works fine, generally clean and tidy. Huge corridors!
basic hotel which is good value at the discount price. air con works, quite clean. the bathroom is a bit weird as the shower wets everything! location is ok, about 5 mins walk to the river which has most of the goings on. walkable to the bus stop.

Expensive hotel
wifi
No parlen angles. Ordinadors molt vells. Lavabo molt cutre. El mes car i no crec que els altres siguin molt pitjor. No hi ha esmorzar They don't speak english. Computers are old fasioned and the toilets are Shabby. I think this is the most expensive hotel in the city and doesn't worth it. Breakfast not included. I would recommennd any other that will cost half and will be so so.
