Ok but definately needs an update
We stayed here because we attended a wedding reception in the hotel. The venue and lobby, and surrounding was lovely. The room was large and design was nice but the room and definately the bathroom is dated. The robe was so old it was hanging on by a thread. It looked beat! The bathroom was an aeroplane toilet?? Literally it sucked out the waste in the exact same way. The tiles in the shower were mouldy and there was actually tiles missing under the vanity. The room wasn't horrible but I just would have expected more for that price.

Perfect location though needs updating...
Location, staff, breakfast
Staff were extremely polite and attended to all requests promptly. Location is perfect being under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and close to The Rocks. The room should be rated 4 stars as they are quiet small. The bathroom was also small with the shower situated in the bath tub. Parking is $50 per day and was not explained to us, due to the room being expensive don't assume parking is included. Breakfast was amazing, with the full breakfast including the usual bacon, eggs and condiments, plus who doesn't love freshly prepared Nutella and banana crepes. Bar drinks are expensive with a case of Corona costing $216 being charged to the room. Bed was comfortable and quiet but only a select few rooms have balconys.

Room with a view
Location, Staff & Atmosphere
We loved our stay at Pier One and will be back for sure. The atmosphere and location of the hotel is great and the staff are a big part of that. For a 5* hotel there are a few things that could use some maintenance within the actual room but these are only minor & not affecting our stay. The food and beverage was well priced and of good quality. Overall a great stay.

Nice stay but hotel pictures are misleading
Staff are excellent, close to Rocks.
The hotel is situated on the EAST side of the Harbour Bridge and rooms don't have view of Opera House or Harbour Bridge. I only viewed the first few photographs and one of them included a picture of a DIFFERENT hotel (Park Hyatt) which is on the West side of the Bridge...that is where I thought I was staying. That was my only disappointment. The rest of the stay was good. Food is excellent, but portions are really small (why is it the more we pay, the less we get?) Staff are excellent.
