Hotel service could do so much better

The view and activities
4.7
Our stay wasn't bad but it could've been better. Restaurant service is poor - we waited long for our food to be served. Food is good. Room wasn't cleaned properly. The bedsheets were clean but they did not clean the stuff left by previous room occupants - there were many "stuff" just pushed under the bed. Location is beautiful and relaxing - don't put this asset to waste. Staff is nice but needs more training. They should be knowledgeable and not just answer "I don't know" to their customers.

GREAT STAFF AND SERVICE, AVERAGE HOTEL

staff, service, food
7.7
It's been a pleasant stay because of the environment, the warm and welcoming staff and their great service.. Although the room is just average to be a deluxe room, I would still recommend this hotel to my friends.. Food is a bit pricey but they are all yummy.. We stayed here for eight nights and unfortunately, during our stay, menu was limited so we have to order and eat same meals all throughout our stay.. But a day before we checked out, they improved and added more to the menus which is such a shame since it's our last day there.. Few bugs can be found inside the room but it's no biggie since it is somewhat expected as the hotel is in the middle of the woods.. It's a great location for all the activities.. Will still go back..

God for rest and recreation

Spacious,good location ,quiet clean
6.3
Place was nice for rest and recreation, the staff were friendly but but didn't explain well regarding the breakfast that was included in the room and I think the management must hire additional staff who will serve in their cafe so that it won't take too long for the costumes to wait for the food or I would suggest if they will serve buffet during breakfast that would be easy if only few staff in the cafe..

Excellent Adventure

Excellent Stay! My family members can only wish to stay much longer. The accommodation we booked and were assigned to was in the best form. Fresh crisp linens, excellent bed, nice big ensuite, coffee and tea facility, television, air-conditioning and ample switch boards to use for electrical gadgets. I don't like restaurants running out of things in the menu especially if you're in the middle of somewhere. But hopefully their dining/restaurant manager will plan ahead to avoid this. Even then, it was still worth the bus ride from Cagayan de Oro through the long and winding road. Hopefully they will upgrade their road couch fleet services to a modern, more comfortable one for a happier though bumpy ride from Cagayan De Oro. For us, the holiday begun the moment we boarded the bus and first impression lasts. I think by doing so, it will encourage more international travellers to visit the area without having to organise private vehicles themselves just for a day's ride. Transport services should be adequately emphasized in their website and more transport option/packages will hopefully be available in the near future. DVD music played on board the bus would have been good. Not everyone is keen to wear earphones. This is such an excellent place for fun and adventure and relaxation. Hopefully they will provide adequate information in their website to help planning a little bit more easier especially if you haven't been to the place yourself or know a family member who have been there. The services provided in the adventure areas were excellent but there is always room for improvement. Thank you.

Relaxing family fun

Location, cozy and clean

There were 9 of us including 2 children who stayed in this hotel overnight during the Easter Break. We decided to stay overnight so we didn't feel rushed going through the zipline and other rides and also wanted to get a good nights rest in between the land trip to/from CDO. Altogether we booked our rooms more than a month in advance and occupied two of their family rooms which fit 6 people in single beds. Staff were very nice to upgrade us to this arrangement rather than what we had originally booked, being 2x standard rooms. We would have had to cramp each other otherwise. Everything was pleasant and smooth during our stay. I just want to point out though that other than providing us with the very kind gesture of upgrading our big group, the staff performed poorly during our stay. The lacked the common Filipino hospitality of always serving with a smile and being friendly. Whenever I had to approach front desk to ask for directions, information etc. I would be answered in a snobbish way. On our way out after check out nobody saw us out to say 'thank you' the least instead the front desk manager (I noticed really subtly) was only concerned about making sure we returned our keycards which we had paid a bond for anyway! I think this hotel needs to get an uplift in staff performance and need to be reminded of staff performance standards among all other hotels around the Philippines. I have been traveling in and out of hotels in the Philippines for over 4 years now and I was shocked this hotel had poor performing staff. It is usually innate in Filipinos to be polite and courteous proactively. I would have given this hotel a 10 rating otherwise. Wouldn't mind staying there again but wouldn't expect anything in terms of staff performance at all!
