Located just outside the Old Town, a short walk from Wenceslas Square, Praga 1 Hotel is close enough to sights to reach them on foot, yet far enough away to preclude noise and crowd-related angst. Rooms are large and airy with fresh hues and lots of natural light, while the cellar dining room provides an ambient location for a continental breakfast every morning. Staff is English-proficient and happy to arrange tickets and transport or recommend the best Czech restaurants in the city. For those still communicating the old-fashioned way, stamps are available from reception.

There's a good working elevator, centrally located, cash machine inside.
We were on the 6th floor, thank goodness , otherwise we won't be able to sleep from the noise coming from the vehicles or drunk people shouting on the streets. The window wouldn't close but it is a blessing in disguise because the room was hot, the aircon not working( closed until summer apparently ) and the cold breeze gets in for free. Every time we leave the notice to clean the room, they only change the towels.... That's All, period. The beddinngs not changed for our 6 days stay there ever!!!! The walls are thin between rooms, so you better keep quiet or you might find yourself in a nasty altercation, but guests are friendly anyway, thank goodness. The day staff were friendly, helpful and informative, great. The breakfast was, just coffee. The wifi service is not bad, but you have to make sure to inform them to turn it on, otherwise the lounge is another option. Overall, I just wish it is less the value I paid for or I could have gone to a better hotel nearby.

Good location

Booked late, and had nowhere to stay but here. The room was a good size, and the location was great, but other things were nothing to write about.

Doesn't look like much, but is good value

The breakfast area has a lot of character
This hotel is quite conveniently located - 3 mins walk to tram stops 5 mins to train. It is a bit noisy though - lots of traffic nearby. The breakfast area is very interesting - in the cellars basically - the breakfast selection is fine. Rooms are basic, bathrooms OK. Overall it is not luxury, but is good value for money
