president hotel sea point
underground car park, reception, pool view
The main thing which let down the hotel was the lack of knowledge of some of the staff, in particular when asked what pannacotta was the waitress had no idea, she did retrieve the situation a little later by coming and explaining it after asking someone. Also we were told initially that there was no salmon dish on the menu as it had run out, we were about to leave to go to another restaurant when the sou chef went past and on inquiring from him we were assured that there was salmon available the computer simply hadn't been updated. These are relatively small complaints but at a four star hotel they should not be occurring I certainly would not have trusted the staff to recommend either food or wine. With higher standards of staff training and some diligence from the staff themselves these short falls could easily be rectified.
