president hotel sea point

underground car park, reception, pool view
The main thing which let down the hotel was the lack of knowledge of some of the staff, in particular when asked what pannacotta was the waitress had no idea, she did retrieve the situation a little later by coming and explaining it after asking someone. Also we were told initially that there was no salmon dish on the menu as it had run out, we were about to leave to go to another restaurant when the sou chef went past and on inquiring from him we were assured that there was salmon available the computer simply hadn't been updated. These are relatively small complaints but at a four star hotel they should not be occurring I certainly would not have trusted the staff to recommend either food or wine. With higher standards of staff training and some diligence from the staff themselves these short falls could easily be rectified.

You will sense the lack of training for their staf

Location, Location, Price
Totally it is good hotel, however you will sense of lack of training for their staff. Nice colleagues who does not know how should they do their job well. They do cleaning but you expect facing a 2 star cleanness after that. They serve you in breakfast, but you should expect low level management there.

Great holiday spot

Great location , food and attentive staff.
My stay was great, I waited a bit at reception as my room was not ready, but an hour later they upgraded me to a better room.

General opinion

Meeting space, quiet location, friendly staff
For business people that need to have a WiFi connection it is better to find a restaurant with Internet then stay in the hotel. For a good night sleep it is good but a bit too far of the business center

Not completely happy

Clean, Great location and view, good price
I was not completely happy with my stay. First problem might be more with Agoda. I paid extra when I made the booking for seaview rooms and barely had a sea view. Two rooms had no sea view. There were not enough personnel during breakfast to help everyone. Specially those preparing eggs.

Great hotel which has everything.

the location. the room sizes. the professionalism
This was the third time I have stayed at The President. All in all, it's a great hotel. It's big. Clean. And has everything. Lots of tourists. Its the type of hotel that is excellent for kids, as well as adults.
