Prince of Wales Hotel - awful old-fashioned Hotel!
The best thing on this hotel is location.
Awful!!! The carpet is soooo stinky & dirty. You can see all stains never removed at all! Everything damaged include the shower handle. Before taking shower, it will fall apart first b4 you can twist the shower handle. The wall has marks from wetness and housekeeping is bad. One time, forgot to empty the time forgot to put towels! The water in the sink, can't wash or brush properly since the hot water is on the left & cold water on the right faucet!!! What's that? Think never renovated in the last 50 yrs. The condition of the hotel is sooo bad that nobody is interested to fix anything! I will never ever recommend this to anybody that's why I am taking my time to give comments based on my bad experience on this hotel. The only good thing here is the location & bed is comfortable (at least for me!). Been to so many hotels worldwide & this Prince of Wales Hotel was the worst one I've ever had! Stop claiming you are 3-star hotel...this is a NO.STAR HOTEL!!!

Hotel not up to expectations
the shower was powerful
The hotel has seen better days.We were supposed to have had an executive room, it was a average double. The windows were single glazed so you could hear late night revellers going home until 5am. Also we were asked to pay,the price was less than we paid Agoda,we said we had already paid and did not pay again.worth noting that Agona were not cheap.Southport was great and I would recomend going, but don;t stay at the Prince Of Wales.
