Beautiful and large room with classic furnitures,

Great choice of Western and Thai buffet, Great value for money, and Spacious room.
At first the reception lady gave us a room already occupied by other guests, but to me that was understandable because the hotel itself is so big with 3 towers (tower A, B AMD C at the same building) and sometimes they make mistakes by having problems to check available room. The lady realized her mistake and decided to give us a bigger room(deluxe suite) with beautiful view of Bangkok city. The room was spacious and clean, with some old and classic furnitures but I didnt really bother because I see those as antics and its nice to see some classic touch by the hotel and it has been well maintained. Besides, cleanliness is more important. Staffs were very helpful and quick to offer services, im suprised they could turn up for less than 2 minutes whenever I needed room services. The entire decorations are amazing, beautiful pool and bar. Affordable and my 2 night stay was really great. Would rate it 8/10 and recommend it to everyone. Transport wise, its easier to get unless you want to get out after 10pm there's not much to see around but thats different story as you can always stay right at Khao San road where its busy and loud. Prince Palace is right at the city center of Bangkok but its located in a pretty quiet area.

Not so friendly, poor wifi access

night view of bangkok city from balcony; location to Grand palace; riverside
The hotel was quite old, decoration was out-dated; WiFi connection was bad; extra charge will be applied if using room wifi; very crowded surrounding area.

Nice hotel, a bit outdated

Very friendly staff, breakfast is nice
Room was outdated and small but we soon got moved to a bigger room. Tower D was definitely outdated. I got a good deal on agoda but I definitely wouldn't pay full price for the room

Be warned. Over rated, poor quality.

View. Fitness Centre looked good. Jacuzzi / Spa nice.
We stayed 3 nights which was 3 nights too long. Room had peeling wall paper, lounge was uncomfortable and broken. Old type TVs with fuzzy picture and only a few English speaking channels. No kids programs in English. Breakfast was a joke. A variety of things but poor quality, when things ran out, like bacon, they didn't bring more out. The orange and pineapple juice were made from concentrate and not well mixed. Breakfast is from 6 to 10 and they mean it. By 10:01 they were packing food away and turning the lights down. Our room was pokey, not well cleaned, in disrepair and bathroom grotty. You can't access the balcony. Windows were very marked with hand prints and other marks. Obviously not cleaned in quite a while. Furniture was sooooo.... dated. Beds are hard and the walls thin. We easily heard noise from neighbouring rooms. My parents built their house in 1970s & yet it looks more up to date than the décor in this hotel. Basically Prince Palace is OLD, not maintained and over rated. The pool is nice for young kids but you can get s good for cheaper elsewhere. Don't buy food or drinks there, the most expensive I've seen in all Thailand. Please find somewhere else to spend your money. It simply is not worth it.
