Not as good as expected

Comfortable bed
Quite far from what I thought. The interior is quite old, the room had a nice view but the window was really dirty. There was no Wifi in the room and no wifi at the outside restaurant (which is the only nice place to hang out at the hotel) which makes it complicated to plan your trip as it is expected to have wifi working in a 4star hotel now days. The outside pool bar war really nice and has a very nice view, unfortunately the cocktails were bad (tried 4 / 5 different ones), good thing the beer and the scotch is always good. In the result our stay was ok but we were not expecting this at all when seeing the pictures on Agoda and thinking of a 4 star hotel.

Great experience to stay in a palace.

Excellent ambience, courteous staff and good location.
It was an excellent stay in most luxurious surroundings, the hotel is one of the best kept secrets of the city, but who so ever stays here for once, keeps coming back. Lately the hotel goes full and it is best to get a advance booking made at attractive deals, like the one we got this time, two one bedroom suits at USD 50 per night it was a real steal. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool, a Japanese restaurant, a roof top Chinese restaurant, excellent room service options and a beautiful spa, what more can one ask for.

Watch out

internet was only available at the bar, taxi service at hotel is for a private vehicle, that seems to be a conflict of interest and I was charged accordingly. I felt ripped off

It was terrible, first of all they asking for deposit, while agoda not mention this . I came from Cambodia withput any cash, only on my debit, they told me that I wont get room until deposit :) not so friendly staff, well for 5 hours contacring my bank at laat I agrred that my credit card limits would be raised, but this is not the point. The poont is that once you booked via agoda you can still do not ged room. Rgis was terrible services!!!!!!!!!

Reception staff were the most miserable unfriendly I've ever come across for a 4 star hotel. Unimpressed.

poor staff performance

the room cleanliness. the price. size of room
Upon arrival it was established I had booked the room for the day previous. My error. However upon re-booking for a stay that day we were informed that we would have to wait 40 minutes. This I found ridiculous as I already had a room booked in my name. We were told the room had been cancelled by the reception. Disgusting reception staff performance. After being asked for a 3rd copy of my passport in a 40 minute period we eventually were given a room which happened to be pretty much on the other side of Bangkok. My suggestion would be for your reception staff to try and smile once in a while.

Great and Terrible

Breakfast, Pool, Views
This was our second time staying at this hotel. We love the buffet breakfast, the swimming pool, and the views. The internet is TERRIBLE. The paid version is very expensive and the free (lobby) version is so bad you'll be lucky to be able to read a few emails in 30 minutes, if it works at all. There are no restaurants (outside the hotel)in this part of town, and no internet cafes. There is a big fruit market nearby and street food. 7/11 and similar nearby. Check-in last visit was ok, this time was terrible. We had to carry our own bags and find our room ourselves (not easy in this hotel). Check-in requires a deposit, but they would not accept my CC because it is a chip and pin type and the numbers are not raised on the card. They accepted 1000 baht in cash instead. The receptionist english skills were poor adding to much confusion. We staying in a 1 bedroom unit. Bed and couch comfortable. No bottle opener in room. Shower head broken, light bulb burnt out. Room needs some minor maintenance, but otherwise OK. Other info. Bus 53 goes to train station and flower market but unsure of route back. Bus 8 goes from flower market to nearby hotel. Meter taxi to zoo, about 45 baht. Food court in mall next door (Bobe tower, but hard to find.
