Very dirty and rooms are so smelly and dirty

The breakfast is very good

the facilities that advertised and what we got was not the same fitness centre you have to pay 300 baht, internet is 600 baht for 24 hours, 100 baht for 15 minutes... the catch is rooms is cheap because its a run down hotel and that is why so cheap. meaning outside the room all the facilities should be pay! the room was really dirty, even bathroom was not clean, even the carpets is very very bad and so dirty. staff was not very helpful. i was not saying this to make the hotel bad but i've been experienced recently october 17-20 , 2012.. i've been travelling and been stayed a lot of hotels in all over the world but this is the worst hotel ever! what they advertised is not what you get.

Slightly grubby but generally a very nice hotel.

Very comfortable beds and a lovely roof to dining area with pool.

We booked this hotel via Agoda at the last minute when we arrived in Bangkok airport, but the booking still went smoothly. Staff were courteous and efficient. Rooms are tidy and beds very comfortable. There is a very nice inside dining area and a lovely rooftop restaurant with pool and sunbathing area. I wish now that we had had more time to spend relaxing. The hotel is also a very short taxi ride from the river and from the BTS system so getting out to see the city is easy. My only complaint is that for a potentially very nice hotel the hallways are quite grubby and run-down looking. This doesn't affect the comfort at all but was a little off putting to see upon arrival. Nevertheless I would certainly stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Get a taxi to Thewes pier (less than 100 THB) and take a trip upriver to Ko Kret for the day. Check schedules for boat times as there is only an early and a late boat on weekdays and none on Sundays (you need to hop off at Nonthaburi and get another taxi).

Pleasant hotel with lots of space

two outdoor swimmingpools & poolbar
6.7
The convinient above Bo Bae Tower situated 4 - star hotel has a lot of amenieties. There are two open air swimmingpools ( towels are provided at the pool), a fitness room with instructor, a pool bar ( a littlebit expensive ), as well as three different restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Internet is available in the caffee room as well as in the guest rooms. The rooms are spacious but could need a little renovation, the bathroomtabs are not perfect anymore. Rooms have flatscreen cable - TV, refrigerator with minibar, as well as a hot water cooking machine. The location of the hotel close to the Mahanak Fruit Market and with a stop of the canal Saen Saep commuter boat is quite confortable ( e.g. if You like to go to Phantip Plaza ore the Jim Thompson house ). There is also nearby access to the Expresshighway leading to Suvannabhumi International Airport. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with great variety of Western and Thai dishes. Sometimes it is possible to use the Sunset terasse restaurant in the open area for breakfast. All in all good value for money and very well suited for families travelling with children.

Huge Enormous Hotel Grand but Old School

2 big pool, beautiful lobby, staff very helpful
8.3
This is a great place for a big convention. Enormous meeting rooms, huge hotel. Is right inside the wholesale clothing mall, so you can shop endlessly, you don't need to but wholesale (which usually means 3 items - you can just pay a little more and get one - which will still be very very inexpensive) The hotel is lovely the furniture is prematurely aging. And is "old style" no DVD, shower is traditional tube with curtain, internet is expensive and not available on all floors. The location has some good points, great for clothes shopping, close to Chinatown. If you are brave, you can try to very quick klong taxi. But is not close to the skytrain or underground.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: From the hotel if you go just down the block you can catch the "klong taxi" they go all over Bangkok but are very hard to see when you are walking around. Since they are pretty much the only ones on the rivers, they continue to move quickly even during rush hours. The go to most tourist destinations, are very quick and very cheap. The problems are ... 1) you need to be reasonably quick and dexterous, the boat will stop only for a brief moment and you need to get up on the side of the boat and jump on or off the ledge of the boat. 2) The stops are easy to see from the water but hard to see from the land. 3) If you don't know where you are going, the very hard working crew will not likely speak anything but Thai.

Bad location but good rooms

Price and food
6
avoid the hotel drivers around the front door of the hotel in white shirts with ties, they are a complete rip off and worse than tuk-tuk drivers when it comes to shamelessly taking you to rip off shops, tours and restaurants they get kick backs from. take taxis instead and negotiate price before you get in, this will save you heaps of time, money and stress. Shopping Tip: The market around the hotel is cheapest for clothing. Ko Sahn Road is cheap for knock offs like shoes and sunglasses. For to pay internet is much too expensive in the Hotel 600 Baht daily !
Shopping Tip: Markets direct in the Hotel

the lobby and hotel high ceiling decoration can make you feel grand. Room is good. But during our stay, there're some motor pump noise all night which is annoying. But overall is great.

Beautiful accommodation at a cost

The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well kept, the location is central and has the easy option of taxi boats. It is an oasis in a crazy city.

Staying at this hotel was a very luxurious experience. The breakfast were great and the rooms are spacious and well maintained. I thought the costs of both wifi and dinner/drinks were extremely expensive compared to the costs in Bangkok. I feel it is unnecessary to inflate the prices so much. Overall I would recommend the hotel for its location, beauty and great swimming pools.
Travel tip: There are many restaurants that are a close taxi or tuk tuk ride away that serve great food at decent costs. Go an visit the Jim Thompson House, it is very close to the hotel and easy to get there by taxi boat which is an experience all on its own.
