Massive Hotel - Nice Buffet Breakfast

Handy for taxi boats/Grand Palace
9
Great Value for money and easy to reach from Airport by Express Train/Skytrain and then taxi boat. The Hotel sits on top of Bobae Tower - amazing number of shops and at very cheap prices but for traders so you are expected to buy more than one to get benefit of discounts. Short walk over bridge to huge fruit market and lots of outside street eating places. BEWARE of tuk tuks - they will tell you that there are no restaurants in area.........if you dont mind street food then head for area near fruit market (5 - 1o min walk)Lots of great food and table n chairs provided - even a beer if you fancy and very cheap! I would advise not to use Tuk tuk as they will rip you off and take you to restaurant where they get commission (not necessarily a good one). Metered taxi best bet and actually much cheaper than tuk tuk (1/2 the price) 50 bht to Grand Palace area (£1). Also great location to get to Central and Siam Paragon for shopping - just jump in taxi boat - cost 10bht! Only negative comment I would make in relation to Hotel is internet charges - cheapest 100 bht for 15min (countdown starts when you logs in and keeps going even if you log out after 2 minutes! - 24 hrs 600bht (£12) - this is not cheap and many hotels offer for free. Lots of 7 eleven shops in area so if you are partial to a beer - buy there and load up fridge as will cost you around 1/4 price of hotel mini bar.
Travel tip: use taxi boats - buy beer at 7 eleven - use meter taxi NOT tuk tuks! if you like bacon for breakfast - get to restaurant early!

Not a recommended hotel. Rarely any staff speaks English. No hospitality or etiquettes. Only1 good point is its proximity to the temples and chap phrase river etc.

Good hotel with a lovely view from the restaurant

Bar with a swimming pool
7.3
This is a good hotel in a central location to Bangkok. We were keen to get a hotel with a fitness suite and were very disappointed to find that this was an extra charge of 300 baht just to use the jacuzzi. We could have gone to a gym in Bangkok! Nice rooms though and the bar with the city view was excellent.

Not great. Tired hotel. Poor Service.

Pool area with bar really nice
4.3
In the 1990's, I'm sure this hotel was excellent, however it is now tired and appears very dated. Staff were poor with customer service being almost non existent. Internet was paid for and quite slow and expensive. In our room, 2 plug sockets, television and bedside light were all broken. We dined in the hotel restaurant. Food was ok, but setting, customer service and noise from the karaoke bar spoiled the meal. Location was good. As with other Bangkok hotels, the staff are always trying to sell you something. Avoid the hotel taxi service, as this is just a con for money. We would not stay here again. The only good thing about this hotel was the pool area. This was really nice and large, with good city views.
Hotel Feature Tip: Avoid this hotel!

Huge hotel surrounded by markets

The hotel is absolutely huge. The buffet breakfast is good, but even better the surrounding streets are full of market stalls selling cheap clothing and amazing street food.

Good location, good service, dated rooms

Nice pool, Bar and restaurant
8.7
Hotel is in a good location to the old town and more modern uptown areas. This huge hotel has plenty on offer including two bars a pool, jacuzzi and restaurant. We ate in the restaurant the food and service were excellent. The room was large but dated and needs some modernising. Their isn't much to do around the area and its a shame the hotel bar closes at 11pm.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Good location for the price

Lousy hotel and will never visit again

Nothing
2.3
Very very bad service and no one will ever smile and they will never say a single kind word. Worst customer service and the room stinks like crazy. the river boat you cannot go in that. The windows are not cleaned so all u see around is bird poop. It's definetly not a clean place, breakfast is totally useless and my choice would be pleas pay little extra and save your holiday. I will never ever go back
Shopping Tip: Nearby whole sale market
