hotel was older and somewhat clean. is not a value for money and hotel is very big. therea re a number of different towers so you may have to carry things fairly far to get to your room. there is a restaurant in the hotel. i went to restaurant to order food to see what they had, but wanted take away. they would not give me utensils to eat. neither would the hotel, even though the restaurant is part of the hotel. staff were very unfriendly. rooms was very large.
Nightlife Tip: Make sure you go to the night market at Koh San Road.

Unequivocal Grandeur

The hotel, staff, rooms, surroundings

this is without doubt one of the finest hotels you could wish to stay in. from the moment you enter the check-in area (which is on floor 11 by the way) the place exhudes luxury. check in ni squick and simple then you walk down the hallway to the elevators and wonder if you're in the wrong place, cos you aint paid what you would expect a place like this to cost. everything about the place is excellent, especially the service and attention to details from every member of staff. rooms are large and spotlessly clean, pool area (2 off) both good, breakfast was buffet style with tons of choice, both eatern and western. good shopping nearby and quick access to the city centre for some serious therapy by the canal taxi 20 metres from the hotel entrance (10 baht per trip no matter how far you go, which equates to about 20p). will not look anywhere else next time in bangkok.

Good dining options - comfortable room - clean

Everyone friendly - reception staff very efficient - some staff, particularly room service had some trouble with English but we still got what we wanted.

Good enough

Nice hotel with good pools. Good breakfast.
6.3
the 2-bedroom suite we booked was a bit run-down (dated) and clearly not used for a while. it was clean, but dusty all over with dead bugs on the floor. lovely views form the rooms (18th floor), but you are not allowed to open the windows/sliding doors. pity. the hotel is massive, so you may have to walk quite some distance to get to the tower in which your room is. the breakfast was good (not great), but you certainly had a large selection to choose from. they run out of beacon an hour before the breakfast ended and didn't bother to make more. the coffee was not nice at all. the hotel is very big & busy, so you can expect to wait for a while for check-in and check-out. the area in which the hotel is located is not nice at all.
