Central located middle class hotel of good quality

Outdoorswimmingpool, great breakfastbuffet, fitness & spa
6.7
The convinient above Bo Bae Tower situated 4 - star hotel has a lot of amenieties. There are two open air swimmingpools ( towels are provided at the pool), a fitness room with instructor, a pool bar ( a littlebit expensive ), as well as three different restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Internet is available, though expensive. The rooms are spacious but could need a little renovation, the bathroomtabs are not perfect anymore. Rooms have flatscreen cable - TV, refrigerator with minibar, as well as a hot water cooking machine. The location of the hotel close to the Mahanak Fruit Market and with a stop of the canal Saen Saep commuter boat is quite confortable ( e.g. if You like to go to Phantip Plaza ore the Jim Thompson house ). There is also nearby access to the Expresshighway leading to Suvannabhumi International Airport. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with great variety of Western and Thai dishes. Sometimes it is possible to use the Sunset terasse restaurant in the open area for breakfast. All in all good value for money and very well suited for families travelling with children.

Awful not really worth the money

Clean, breakfast
4.3
I wouldn't really suggest staying here! The location was terrible nowhere near a metro or skyline. The tuk-tuk drivers will take advantage of this. The hotel staff were not really friendly either. Oh and there is no WiFi! It's super expensive if you would like to purchase it too.

Good for shoping with reasonable price

shoping center

It is a hotel for shopholitic, but not brand name. The hotel took 5 min by taxi to the big shoping center (siam square, siam paragon) and there are alot of good brands. It is an old hotel, then not quite convinient accessories. breakfast is so so, same menu two days. I prefer pay a little bit more and go to better hotel.

Would not stay again

Swimming pool
4.3
Would not stay again. Staff always on their mobiles, not looking to serve customers and unfriendly attitude. Internet very expensive, normally free in this class of hotel. No iron or ironing board available, only expensive pressing service for pair of trousers. Restricted opening hours until only 7.30pm on weekends and holidays at swimming pool, no lifeguard and attendant mostly absent when you need a towel. Room quite large, old fashioned furniture and TV but clean with good carpet. Aircon not very effective. They have taken their eye off the ball in this hotel and make no attempt to encourage repeat business.

Pleasant, no hassles. Luxurious.

Breakfast, swimming pool and roof top bar
8.3
First impressions of the hotel are impressive and I probably would not be able to afford a similar hotel in Europe. 5 star appearance and interior with very friendly and helpful staff. (My wife who is Thai seems to think this hotel has something to do with the Thai royal family, possibly owned by the King’s son but I cannot verify that). Luggage taken to the room as expected. 2 decent size swimming pools on roof terraces with views of Bangkok to match with slightly pricy roof bar as to be expected. Spa and massage, Gym etc. Even have butlers to open doors for you in main corridors. The room was decent sized and clean. Shower not too well designed as bathroom floor was soaking both in mine and also our parents neighbouring room. OK when we found out you can stick one of the smaller towels in the gap near shower curtain to stop water going on to edge of the bath. A big plus of the stay was the breakfast. Make sure you get an included breakfast when booking. Is buffet style of many unlimited Thai and Western dishes plus tea/coffee juice etc. Fill yourself to your hearts content. It really is worth paying the few extra pounds. One minor irk was some of the reception staff to the far right seemed to be involved in other duties when they could have helped out at busy times. One occasion I was queuing up with an enquiry when another guest jumped the queue and got their attention which they seemed to be able to help him out. Not sure if they are receptionists but they could have told him to join the end of the main queue. Finally I have to thank the cleaning staff and receptionist here for returning my wife’s wedding ring and a solid gold ring left in the room after we had checked out. Extremely honest of them and cannot thank them enough. Probably worth a good few months salary to a Thai cleaner.

Great location close to the action, boring rooms

Location was close to everything, cheap rate, swimming pool and bar
6.7
The hotel was very big and a lot of walking around had to be done. Staff were helpfull but not as much as other hotels and a more laid back approach was taken. Tuk Tuks are readily available and cheap to go shopping, eating and drinking. Rooms are old and tired but value for money if you can get a cheap rate.
