Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Bohol Bee Farm Hotel
The natural organic foods and special ice creams. The baked products. The Bee Farm Tour can be educational.
4,3
We were excited to try a native style hotel vs. the usual and also wanted to experience the natural foods and use of honey in many. To our shagrin the hotel is located off of a road that has been under repaving for a long time and the road into the hotel is rented and is in the same condition. Only a taxi or Hotel van will traverse in and out and it's 700 peso's to get to Tagbularan where everything is going on and to the Pangalo beaches, as well.
From here you can only see the night life way off in the distance at the Pangalo beach area.
The place has no night life at all and you are basically trapped here for your stay unless you pay for a tour or tours. They can be arranged at the port or airport or at the hotel.
Our experience with our countryside tour booked at the hotel wasn't good. They hired a taxi to take us around and the driver was no tour guide and could barely speak English. He knew nothing except how to get to the attractions. After complaining at checkout the ownership lowered our cost, probably taking away their profit.
The food is expensive for what it is and the best thing is the salad made with edible flowers.
Our room lacked any air conditioning in the bathroom and I think that is the way they all are. Our first room overlooked the exhaust vents for the restaurant and had no a/c in the bathroom.
Our upgraded room also had numerous lights out or bulbs missing, a hodge podge of furniture as is all over the Hotel property. The a/c had to be reset by the staff as it had it's own mind and would not operate consistently on it's settings. The TV had 2 remotes and they were not in sync. On both nights we had to get over staff to try and work the tv. On the second night they advised us to unplug it so we had a flat screen tv and no useage.
The worst experience of all was the ants. They were crawling in the room, in the bathroom and outside on the sills were colonies of ants in motion. The best part was the super nice beekeeper who looks like Jackie

We had a really great week's stay, and enjoyed it. You really need your own transport to be able to visit other places, as there is little public transport passing by, and the Bee Farm is about half a mile from the main road.

Food, snorkelling, free transfers

The views from the main dining area were lovely. The food was delicious - they even catered for vegetarians. The shop was great - homemade bread, spreads and organic stuff! The staff were lovely - one even lent my friend and I some high factor sun tan lotion. The rooms were quite rustic but clean and comfortable. Would recommend it!

Large room, Ocean View, Large bathroom

It was adequate. Rooms were beautiful with a very nice view. Breakfast was superb. However, internet was very slow, staff not very accommodating (my sisters were being moved from room to room until they finally said enough). Area was lacking in social activities. Other than that, it was okay.

My brother reserved this room for us (his sisters). Initially we were thrilled, however, the room that we were sent to (I think the name is Doais) had a malfunctioning a/c. He spoke with the admin but didn't act on it until after 4hours by which time we were drenched in sweat despite the open windows and after taking a really long shower. Only then were we moved to another room (the proper honeycomb suite that my brother reserved). We were comfortable in it for a night until we came back the next night when the staff told us to move out because apparently somebody else will be occupying the suite. We stayed put and refused to vacate after all this was the room my brother reserved and paid for not the Daois room. We were terribly disappointed with the treatment.
