Stayed last November 2015.
Pros: - They have rooms available for big groups. - Towels and toiletries are provided. - Clean. - Very good location. Very near to mall and train station. Cons: - Small room. But I think this is normal in HK.

Disappointed with one lady staff
- the pipe in bath room was broken, and steam from the hot water transpired over the room, the wall were wet, the bed were moist and our cloths also wet, but when I asked to change the room, SHE didn’t allow the change room, just want us ONLY use the new bath room next door. - We tried to explain, how can we sleep in the wet room?, she insist can only use the toilet/bathroom in the next room, cannot move and sleep in new room, meaning we have to use toilet of next room. - During negotiation, I just sit on the bed in new room, she pushed me out from the bed, becuase I might make the bed sheet wrinkle. - Finally, she allowed us to change the room, reason is only new room smaller then the old room, we had to stay in the smaller room than we paid. - This is only from one staff in Hotel, but when I saw other staff, they were good and friendly with us.

Family Travel
We arrived midnight and auntie was still awake and very nice to accommodate us. The room is small for family of 7 but clean and very convenient to MTR. Although, the bed sheets were not change for the entire duration of our stay, they have supplies such as toilet paper, shampoo, body wash in the corridor for the guest to take. Since housekeeping is not available. We do throw our garbage every day outside the designated trash bin. Overall: the money we pay is worth the service and accommodation they gave us.

Not Value for Money. But location is Gold.
Location, Location, Location.
Haha... This is by far the worse hotel I've stayed in and mind you, I've stayed in plenty of 1-star hotels. We got lost for 45 mins trying to find the hotel as the voucher given had wrong information. It was written as HaoYuan hotel at Portland Street, but in reality it was Ho Yuen hotel in Nelson Street."Far East Consortium Mongkok Building" sign was so small and you'd likely missed admist all the hoards of signboards of HK. The building looked old and dirty. Upon arrival at 11th floor, I met other guests from Thailand outside of the door. They claimed that they had been waiting for 10 mins since the door was locked. No reception. They had to use their mobile and make a roaming call to mobile number on the door, and we were all told which was our room. It's all a phone self check in process. The key was already placed on the door lock. So there was a miscommunication and the guy on the phone said that my room is on the 10th floor instead. We were given directions on how to get to our room. It was like playing Escape game room, lol. "Turn right, go down an exit (very dirty) staircase, turn right to the corner, enter pass code lock, and find your room key on one of the door lock." Upon entrance, we switched on the light and spotted 3 cockroaches running off into a corner. And being in a group of girls, we are so not looking forward to sleep that night. The room looks exactly like in picture (double deck + 1 bed). Pillows were thin.i has to use the blanket as a pillow. Check out process was the same. Self check out. No one was ever there... It was like a ghost management. However will all the negativity above, we appreciated that the location was SUPERB. To the left of the hotel was Mongkok Station. Once you come out, you're in the midst of huge shopping malls. Nice location.

Best for location..
The best 3 things about this hotel are the location, room comfort and value for money..
The building is under renovation but once we got inside the room, it was clean and comfortable to stay. They provide free toiletries, towels, slippers, water heater, hot shower. Overall stay was good because of the location which is at the center of shopping district and near the MTR for easy travel convenience.

A small house converted into a hotel
First problem: You will not be able to find this hotel, unless your speak chinese. It's located on the 11th floor of a building in front of the grand plaza. There is no sign of any kind. Most room do not have windows of any kind. If you have traveled on a ship before, the room is half the size. Just a small bed and a 1/2 bathroom. Yes, shower is there, but the shower head is on top of the pot :) Unless I was dead tired from a long trip, I would have looked for another place even though it was already paid.
