Disappointing resort.

Fabulous owner, solitude and complete isolation from everything.

I would never recommend this resort because it is dying, excessively far, no front beach, only rocky stone every where and basic infrastructure are in serious bad conditions. Your website does not represent reality. Upon my website reservation, I ask for transportation, never received any replies. One guest even called three times the front desk and been hank up. I been fooled, be aware.

Tranquil cottages in beautiful garden

helpful staff

This place is beautiful, but a bit spartan. At least there is warm water an 24h electricity. The beach is a bit rocky, but at places three is nice sand. We had it completely on our own for three days! The restaurant has a lot to improve on and quite expensive from what you get.

Beautiful beach but food was disappointing

good location
5.7
The hotel was in a good location, just by the national high way and quiet beach. The cottage was simple, but was OK. We were disappointed that the foods in their restaurant were overpriced, and the quality and the services were not worth the price.

good location on the way to el nido

it is clear that this resort has seen better days in the past! everything is a bit run down, tough the beach is beautiful is not of easy access. we stayed 3 days (including xmas ) and we had to fight to have some decent food done. it seems they are saving money on the food! anyway very kind staff, especially, always at your disposal and speaking a good english.

Quiet,picturesque,relaxing

natural setting, reasonable price, quiet, peaceful and on the beach.

the owner of puerto beach resort went to great lengths to have this resort blend perfectly with nature. on this very large property is about a dozen cottages of local design. i.e. bamboo, palm leaves and coconut tree wood. there is a large variety of flowers and plants tastefully arranged. two suspended bridges of rope and planks hang over a wading pool of fresh spring water traversing through the resort and out to the ocean. this is the perfect place if you are looking to relax and unwind near the beach or read that novel you have been trying to find time for. the staff is very accommodating, attentive, and friendly enough, without disturbing your privacy.
Travel tip: a few notes: this resort is about 2 hrs from any major market(if you are looking for nightlife, this would not be the place for you..if on the other hand you are looking to relax and enjoy nature and at a reasonble price, then this is it). You can take a van from the airport for anywhere from 1,500 peso-2000 peso...probably worth it if you have been traveling for a long time. the driver will most likely pitch you a story about the "underground river" and how you should get approval first. i was not that interested at first so i made plans a few days later. there seems to be alot of red tape getting to this underground river. If you are very interested in caves and bats this is for you..personally i could have skipped it altogether ( a bit to touristy for my taste). Back to the transportation. You could take the van or if you are comfortable mingling a bit with the locals the opt for a tricycle ride-150 peso- to "the terminal" at the terminal you can take a seat of one of the larger buses for about 80 peso tell on of the attendants "puerto beach" if you can get a seat upfront it would be great, you can enjoy the lush greenery and also keep an eye out for the resort....after about an hour and a half you can begin to look out towards the right side of the road for the resorts brown wooden, palm covered roof, sign with letters of yellow..if you see it,don't be shy..just yelp out "para" bang on the bus,or whistle..enjoy your stay....oh,if you like fresh seafood..like a gorgeous tuna or prawns...you can find them at "the terminal" where you caught the big bus. or you can ask on of the help at puerto beach if they can get you some.

Quiet, Comfortable, Friendly

No city noise, very friendly staff.
8.3
The Resort is out of town (it's about 60km from Puerto Princessa). If you go there looking for luxury you won't find it. What you will find is a comfortable cabin with ensuite, no TV, no internet, but you are on the beach and there is quite a nice garden walk in the grounds and team of people that that will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. I booked and organized tours with them over the internet, the staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a great time.

the resort was 1 hour away from airport/central city, suitable for a relaxing stay. beach was clean but rocky, not appropriate for swimming. highlight: friendly and helpful staff, who arranges all tour packages & transportation for us at a very reasonable price.
