Punta Bulata 2015

Quiet, relaxing stay, VIEW
very relaxing stay, friendly and attentive staff. very nice view. Stayed at hillside A&B. They offered us an upgrade because of water pressure issue in hillside B. Big rooms, bed and bathroom. Complete toiletries. Downside: rusty bathtub, one of the superior room in the hotel if I'm not mistaken room have very weak A/C, signal and water, also when it rained the ceiling moistened and one of the staff just used a wonder mop to remove it.

White Sand, Nice Pool and Beach, Sun sets.

The 3 best things are The turtle island and Danjugan Island I also like to chill in and watch sun sets their.
We had a nice vacation in Punta Bulata Resort and Spa. Walking along the beach and feel the nature is really relaxing for me. I swam to their pool and take pictures. The next morning we do the Island hoping I took a lot of photos. I will definitely come back in Sipalay .

Pleasant getaway

seclusion, spa treatment, staff
We had booked for just two nights, which is definitely too short. The day after arrival a typhoon passed through the region, so we were sort of confined to the room, but did not experience any inconvenience. Electricity was stable all the time, much to our surprise! So we spent the better part of the day soaking in the hot tub, availing of a massage, lingering in the spacey room, watching HD cable TV, and playing with the kids. Our trip back home was cancelled, so we asked for extension, which was no problem even in peak season--guess some other guests were not able to travel here due to the bad weather. Next day (New Year's Eve) the weather was perfect for beach walks and outdoor activities. We did not participate in any of the excursions offered because of our small children. In the evening there was a year-end mass held in the restaurant, and a special menu was served afterwards. Some games were offered, and at midnight a 6-minute firework was launched from a boat off the shore. Beautiful reflections on the calm water surface! Apart from that, we were fortunately far away from the ubiquitous and notorious noises of New Year's Eve, and much enjoyed our night rest. Very few people enjoy a beach walk at 6 am on New Year's Day. We did :) If you go there, plan enough of time to take a tour to the Danjugan island sanctuary! We could not, much to our regrets. Hint to the management for improvement: consider offering babysitting service paid by the hour for families with small children, which could be prearranged along with outdoor activities or spa sessions.

Nice people and nice place to get lost

friendly staff, good food, near danjugan island
Staff were really nice. The food was good and the catch was fresh. Met one of the owners and the manager of whom were really accommodating. I stayed on off-season, so the resort was literally all for myself. Lounged by the pool while eating calamansi (filipino lemon) sorbet. Then went to the nearby island across which is a marine sanctuary for snorkelling, diving and trekking. Albeit quite far from the airport, it's a place to get lost from the hustle and bustle of city living. :)

Bit of a rocky road but pleasant surprise when you arrive , room was upgraded, free massage and breakfast were included , lovely gardens , restaurant food could have been better , not the best cooking

Very nice, but lacking attention to detail.

The fresh smell of the towels, anything served on property can be brought to the room and that their garlic rice has the garlic in the rice and not just sprinkled on top!
This was a very nice place and well worth the adventerous drive from Bacolod City. We arrived in the evening when it was dark and while some lighting on the driveway would have been nice, the somewhat nerve wracking drive was definitely worth it. This resort has so much to offer and the staff was very professional and friendly, but there was some lack in maintainance that prevented this place from getting the higest rating. A few examples include the pool having tiles out of place and laying on the ground around it, the locks to our beach cabana's outdoor shower door being rusted out and non-functional and there being overgrown walking paths and poorly located light switches. Ultimatly, it seems like there is a lack of management and it shows!

The road is a nightmare.

The road in is a nightmare the resort itself is nice but go past reception and the staff need a lot of training to give a smile. Breakfast is very very basic and this place is way over priced for the hassle in getting there and what you get when you get there. It is not worth the effort

There are housekeeping thieves, beware!!!

Nice resort, nice pool and beach
The resort is good, nice pools and views, some staff are good, especially the ones in the reception area and restaurant. BUT, the HOUSEKEEPING, omg you have to be careful, DO NOT put your important stuff outside your bag/luggage for easy access. Lock your important things inside your bag/luggage because some of them you cannot trust!!! It's funny that in my whole life of traveling, it's my first time to experience this thing. Funny because it was my Jericho active serum they emptied (it's the thing I put on my face after shower). It was still half full and after my boat trip to "Danjugan Island" (which was amaziiinnnggg by the way) I found my bottle of Jericho Active Serum empty!!! It might not be a big deal for some, and I know it's just a shallow thing to complain about BUT, the point here is, they should not touch your things at all!!! My whole trip to Bacolod was amazing apart from that housekeeping part.
