Good for value of money

Close to Khao San Road, Cheap, basic accommodation
The hostel has basic amenities. If you just need a cheap place to sleep, clean up then explore Bangkok then this may work for you. Not for comfort, just there for rest...

Not bad, not great

Good location near Khao San Road, but less expensive than Khao San, air-con made the room comfortable
The hostel was a little hard to find, there is a small sign over a massage parlor, but the hostel was actually next door. There is no lift so if you are on the 3rd floor or higher, make sure you are carrying light luggage. The staff was friendly and polite.

Absolutely atrocious.
Unreal. I am absolutely dumbfounded that this place has any positive reviews at all. The building is falling to pieces, it doesn't even have a reception or main desk other than a table parked at one side of the "restaurant". Uninterested and rude staff. Horrible damp and dirty rooms, with an aircon that isn't up to the task. Noisy construction work going on outside with circular saws cutting steel beams. I reluctantly decided to stay one night as I'd already paid, but when the water pressure died completely leaving me unable to have a shower or even flush the toilet I decided enough is enough and checked out early- a mere 4 hours after checking in. Found a hostel just off Khoasan Road for a third of the price and infinitely better than this disgusting place. Be aware that for the prices they are charging here there is a plethora of better options in this area- and elsewhere in Bangkok. This is the lowest grade accomodation you could possibly find, somehow masquerading as a "hotel". If I could give this place zero stars I would.

a good one for overnight drifters

price, location and people
just stayed there for a night while returning from Pattaya. the location is beautiful (just near the canal) and khaosan road is hardly 800m's from there..only issue was to find it....wasted, like 90 minutes after reaching in the area.Landmark: Between a grocery store and a street bar along the canal, while coming from samsen road towards Khaosan...!!

It is not good at all!

mosquito, smell, dirty
I think the score is unfair in DORM at least. If you want to stay DORM in Queen Suriya Hostel, Be prepared! High price, low quality, sweat smell of vibration and a lot of mosquito :)
